The guys are feeling the need for speed as they take a look at the Fast Attack choices of the new Eldar Codex. What do you reckon will be their choice as they delve into this high speed section?

Hawks were always 4+ saves. you want more shots or stronger lasblasters? 3 shots moving 12″ per turn then running away is awesome.
spiders havent changed much – before was move 12″ jumpback 2d6, now its jump forward 2d6+6 (so average 1 more) and jumpback exactly the same with the danger being in the move phase now. obviously spinners now have rending equivalent, the +1S is situational, especially as so run marines. you are right they didnt have fleet before though.
shining spears are half the points what they used to be iirc. although battlefocus is kind of pointless on jetbikes. with so much good stuff in FA i doubt these will see use, prefer spiders and hawks over them.
warlocks cant take telepathy so cant work in combo with terrify, it just causes fearless units to lose fearless and treat everyone as having fear plus makes them take immediate morale check. overall not very good imo
I agree with katadder here. The swooping hawks are really good as they are now. 3 shots, str 4 AP 4 blast (6 or less) that ignores cover or large with a bigger squad when they deep strike for their point cost is great.
With more peoples playing non powered armoured armies now these guys are quickly becoming a favourite unit of mine.
Warp spiders are simply amazing now. With a possible 36′ movement (really lucky) and their nice new improved guns they are also a great choice.
In fact all the fast attack choices are great and after I pit my HQ and Troops in my list I head straight to the fast attack options to see what I want to field, which is a far cry different from the previous book.
actually largely agree with you here other than shining spears will at least see some testing out in my army always wanted to try them but cost in points and £££ was a lil high now i got plenty of bits about and they save so many points having powers built in and dropping 10 points a model plus a 3+ jink save when they turbo boost!
hawks have got 5 points cheaper again with powers built in and new rules particularly like fact they don’t scatter so drop down next to cover blast template something nasty then pour fire into nearby unit before running into a ruin or something before leaping next turn. rinse and repeat.
warp spiders 3 points cheaper with the important abilities built in and excellent light vehicle hunters… awesome
vypers are same cost after adding on the cannons cost (didn’t get it auto before) with a bs increase still won’t use them personally but very good.
crimson hunter is a flyer i will pick up nice model and awesome rules just cross my fingers i can take out an interceptor turret before it comes on then wreak havoc on flyers and tanks.
not a big fan of the wraithfighter but it works really well in tandem with eldar due to the warlocks embolden/horrify can reduce leadership by 3 then the wraithfighter makes them take a morale check as well as taking away fearless and they have to re roll if successful due to the mindshock pod! pity and they shall know no fear is around so much as it makes the combo pointless as its not removed :/
overall very pleased with this vid think the fact you did use the reference pages may of been a factor for this. Roll on heavy support!
Lol.. Loved seeing the super-imposed red arrow pointing to the Rule book behind you guys 😀
Great videos as always! Very interesting to see how they stack up to the other new Codexs out now and they seem pretty good from what I hear. I don’t remember, but I dont remember hearing you guys mention the War Walkers at all?
I have to agree with most comments already put out. Swooping hawks have got a lot better thanks to the extra shot, no scatter on deep strike and generic bonus of battle focus. I will have to try them out in a few list to see.
Warp spiders have got even better thanks to Warp pack changes and they way the spinneret rifles work. They have been a mainstay in my lists since 5th Ed.
Not convinced by the fliers due to the shocking low armour of 10. Pretty much bolters can make mincemeat of them, and Tau pulse rifles would be horrible. I wouldn’t worry so much if every other army had the same issue with low armour on the fliers, but appears to an issue only with pointy eared ones.
The increase in ballistic skill make the Vyper a better prospect (especially if it has holo fields).
Shining spears will be coming back into my lists as they points reduction makes them less of an expensive glass hammer. I personally wouldn’t use the lance to shot when assaulting a 10 man squad of marines, the twin linked shuriken catapult is a better option as this give you double the number of shots and blade storm.
