I found this game on Kickstarter today and I am PUMPED! Have you ever wanted to go on a ghost hunt? Well, AVGhost by Mystical Games is a miniature based, cooperative board game that allows you to go on a ghost hunt in the safety of your own home! And here’s the best part, it offers a totally innovative twists to a cooperative game. First of all, by the name you can see that there is an audio-visual component to this game. There are sounds (EVP’s) that you encounter along your ghost hunting journey and collect as evidence to solve/debunk the claims. There is also a video upon completion of game to explain the results of your investigation, provided you acquired all the pieces needed. Pretty cool, right? But wait, it gets better! This game is meant to be a visceral experience to really put you in a ghost hunt, so that being said….you ghost hunt in the dark! You literally play this game in the dark. The main characters in the game, which come as unpainted minis, are paranormal investigators that come with their own LED flashlights.

One of the main objectives of the game is to make sure that at least one player always has their flashlight on. If the players ever go without at least one of their lights on, the game is over and the investigators lose. And what kind of paranormal investigation would be complete without the presence of ghosts and dark magic?

There are witches, criers, twisted ghosts and bull ghosts, each with varying degrees of toughness for the investigators to find and deal with - and they glow in the dark!
