Mantic Games have announced two new Dice Games that are coming later this year for you to dive into. Both are quick and easy to play and perfect for use at conventions or in between larger games that you're playing at a game night.

Invincible: The Dice Game // Mantic Games

The first of these is for Invincible, the excellent comic series and animated show...

"The Guardians of the Globe are recruiting for an open spot in their group of superheroes and you are determined to prove your worth. Players take the role of the hopefuls who are required to undertake a live trial by battling villains and besting other heroes! Who can earn the most reputation and join the Guardians, without losing the respect of their peers?"

I was able to sit down and play this for a little while at UK Games Expo with Shay and Ronnie from Mantic and it was great fun. It's got a solid push-your-luck mechanic in there where you take on deadlier and deadlier foes throughout the game and make good use of your dice to try and come out on top. It was really neat seeing how different the game played and how your luck can turn on a dime.

The second of the games that Mantic have coming out is The Walking Dead!

Players take the role of the hopefuls who are required to undertake a live supply run by exploring a known hot zone infested with Walkers and other survivor groups! Who can recover the biggest stash of resources as they explore the rooms and vehicles of the abandoned town?"

Much like with Invincible and the original Hellboy: The Dice Game, you'll be pushing your luck but this time with the theme of The Walking Dead in the mix. It features awesome artwork from the comics and should slot in your coat pocket, ready to be cracked out at a moment's notice when you're down the pub.

Because of the nature of the game, you could play this with just two people or get a gang of folks together who are all trying to push their luck that little bit further.

You'll be able to get pre-launch versions of Invincible: The Dice Game and The Walking Dead: The Dice Game later his year at San Diego Comic Con and Gen Con.
