Over on Kickstarter, and funded within the hour, Bako: Dig And Write will place one to ninety-nine players (depending on if you have enough sheets for such a mass digging game!) in the role of ambitious anthropomorphic archaeologists.

Placing their future fate and findings by the roll of the dice, players will be on the hunt for magical items entombed underfoot. You'll be searching for fossils, loot and undiscovered ruins which have been lost to the island of Bako for an age.

There will be patterns depicted on the cards which players will hope to follow if they wish to unearth some lost goods. You'll be putting fences in place to match the cards with the larger the discoveries meaning larger stacks of points to rake in. Across fifteen rounds, the player who has gathered the most findings totalling the most amount of points will be crowned the champion. The rules are available to download on the campaign page if you were keen on getting into the dig yourself!

Fossil Cards - Bako Dig And Write

There are eight days left on the clock for this title, with stretch goals unlocking at a fast pace. You can still help them unlock new treasures and some new scenarios to dig into. There is also an add-on if you missed Rawr Games' last crowdfunding campaign, Kaikoro, and all are then included alongside the stretch goals.

The game takes about thirty minutes to play through and is pitched for ages ten-plus and can involve as many players as you have sheets for! A ninety-nine-person dig would certainly be a competitive game!
