Czech Games Edition has been busy across the galaxy! Flying across hazardous areas with a precarious cargo in the revised edition Galaxy Trucker has been a delight, and now they have announced a new and upcoming sci-fi title heading to our tabletops.

Starship Captains has been teased by Czech Games Edition, as 2-4 players are challenged to take the helm of the bridge in building and commanding their own crew in hopes to become the very best starship captain across the galaxy.

Your dreams have come true, and you have been rewarded a "new" starship to see you fit in heading into where no man has gone before. Since you've been awarded a fancy new promotion, it's down to you to steer the ship through endless routes throughout the galaxy. Hunting down ancient artefacts, facing savage space pirates and heading off into different adventures! But you won't be doing this alone, you will have a hearty crew behind you to help you get off the ground.

Although these misfits aren't what you were expecting when engaging in your first space voyage, they are indeed your crew! All of which provide special roles on the ship whether it be cadets, ensigns, androids, and officers. Players can help them climb the ranks to settle into their roles to achieve their full potential, plus tweaking the ship in favour as the game progresses depending on what new technology you want to implement onboard.

Wacky missions are ahead, bringing a euro-style action selection board game where players will flex engine-building mechanics. In an attempt to improve the reputation of their faction across the galaxy, in hopes of raking in some intergalactic rewards.

The game is set to be released in Q4 of 2022, launching at Essen Spiel in October this year.
