New Lord Of The Rings Game Coming From 7 Wonders Designers

The designers of 7 Wonder Duel are coming together to work on a new board game based on The Lord Of The Rings. Using familiar mechanics from 7 Wonders Duel, Antoine Bauza, Bruno Cathala and Repos Production are going to be diving into Duel For Middle-earth!

The Lord Of The Rings: Duel For Middle-earth // Repos Production

Players will take on the role of the forces of Good in Rivendell and or Evil in the lands of Mordor. They will no doubt be diving into a tug of war, a little like in 7 Wonders Duel, to see if you can defend or destroy Middle-earth. There aren't many more details about the game right now but it seems like it will share a lot of the same DNA. I would imagine that there will be more of a focus on the military aspect of conquest as you battle back and forth over the lands of Middle-earth.

Another big plus for me is that this comes with beautiful artwork by Vincent Dutrait. He has done some of the best board game art out there and that's almost reason enough to pick up the game and dive in.
