Dark-Art-Studios Finds A Minotaur In The Labyrinth

Dark-Art-Studios have explored the deep Labyrinths of fantasy worlds and found a Minotaur dwelling in their depths. Check out their work-in-progress sculpt for him below...
This massive Minotaur looks more like the demon, the Lord of Darkness, from Legend than an Ancient Greek beast and while I like the body and the legs the head looks a little out of proportion.
I think with a bit of tweaking this could be a better model, especially re-sizing the head and possibly those over the top horns. They can still be big but not that big!
Would you pick this up?
I think the horn themselves could be ok if the head were in proportion, and looked like a bulls head instead of the villain from Legend.
It reminds me very much of a Mantic type sculpt, which is a good and a bad thing 🙂
You are right. That head does look like head of the villain from Legend instead of bull’s head.
This one is just too pudgy. The proportions will have to be corrected, or even completely overhauled, surely.
My first thoughts when I looked at the thumb nail was thats the Lord of Darkness!
Probably easier for Dark Arts to just say it is and drop the Minotaur thing lol.

I just wanted to point out this is just the optional alternative devil head.. but I thought i would show you guys this first as i knew it would get you talking 😉 there will be another 3 heads including a cyclop head.. I’m no master sculptor so i will do my best to take on board what you have said and improve.. thanks for all the feedback keep it coming! 🙂 all Good -B
the new shot is better but it does reinforce that the legs aren’t in proportion to the body.
Extra heads is always a good thing, I like that idea. 🙂
I think if i take away some of the bulk of the upper shoulder and neck this will hopefully improve the proportions.. i will post new pic when i have done more work..
