Super tempted by the Atomic Tank set, does anyone know if the War Rocket models tie in scale-wise? I used to have some I seem to remember the War Rocket being more “6mm”.
I read somewhere that was the original plan but I think it changed. Maybe worth asking Hydra Miniatures on Facebook?
Rockets!
Wow, I’m home while the Weekender is still being first blasted thru the Internet tubes live! 👍
My GW LotR manuals are a mix of magazines and books. 🤔 (maybe I should build some more terrain for MESBG) if only there was some sort of community organized building project to join in on! 😉
Yeah, I love the style of the Journals.
I really need that GW-LotR Shelob miniature. Very nice!
You better be quick before Justin eats them all 🤔
The Wargames Atlantic agents are tempting. Plain clothes police vs organized crime using specter operations.
That would be a super cool game – might be a nice way for more people to get into Spectre now with these plastics.
The 10mm sci-fi is rather cute, hope it works out to be a popular seller, looks like it has a lot of heart.
Hi there weekender’s
The rocket tanks have a thunderbirds vibe to then
Apart from a army of Irish mammys @justin
The walker looks front heavy Gerry 🤔
Good one guy’s
I like that the Lumberjacks don’t look very obviously like sportsball players, means they could fit in other games as dynamically posed warband members too.
Perfect for fans of Monty Python scene reenactment! @mechawhalestorm
For sure, you could slot them into plenty of skirmish games
I also thought Frodo was a mummy’s leg when I first saw him.
Not his papa’s leg? @lblunchboxlb 😁🤔
Great minds, some might say…
Glad to see Hydra Miniatures get a shoutout. Retro Raygun and War Rocket are such fun games and the miniatures look great. I’m really curious to see how Atomic Tank plays.
I sense that Gerry might be buying it so we will no doubt find out
The Shelob mini looks good.
I’m with Justin. All I could see was a severed leg.
you people are weird!
That’s why we are here
I never said I wasn’t. I’m weird and it looks like a leg. These facts are unrelated though.
Happy weekender all 🙂
Hope you had a happy weekend too!
This is quickly becoming my fav part of the weekend! Wallet hates it though…. 😅
We give and we also take away haha
No “Indie of the week”? Hope this returns as it’s my favourite part of the Weekender (Nudge…. Ground Zero Games…… Nudge)
Those live now in the XLBS for some time.
That’s such a shame, Ideally “Indie of the Week” was great for highlighting companies and miniatures that don’t get much coverage in most of the gaming websites/Youtube Channels. But now it’s on XLBS that dramatically narrows the amount of players who get to see the article. It’s BoW’s website to do with as they wish, but was the Weekender starting to overrun each episode length (and hence why the article was moved to XLBS)?
Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe the drop off rate on YouTube was too high with the indie of the week? Maybe if we ask really nicely (@lloyd @warzan @brennon @avernos ) they could cut the Indie Of The Week from the XLBS and release it 7 days later as a separate video on YT? So Backstagers/CoGs/OTTers will have it first but they (the indies) still get some love and attention outside our bubble?
I have plans to do something with the Indie of the Week in the new year but I will have to see how they fit in with everything else. But yes, moved from the show to XLBS because they were unfortunately hammering the algorithm in the wrong way.
