Good evening!
Am I last again? It’s kind of lonely being last…
Where is everyone? ….spooky
You arrived precisely when you meant to 😉
Is that best game still in production?
Yup!
The Indiana Jones tank was based on a 1940 British prototype called the TOG (the Old Gang). Check it out in Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › TOG1
And yes, it would be nice to get my LOTR on. Keeping my fingers crossed.
The second richest duck (Srooge’s rival) was Flintheart Glomgold, who was South African. Scrooge McDuck is the Scottish one (currently played by David Tennant in Duck Tales).
Clearly they haven’t seen the reboot or they would never forget the name of the savior of earth.
“Arise, arise, riders of Rohan!
Fell deeds awake, fire and slaughter!
Spear shall be shaken, shield be splintered!
A sword-day, a red day, ere the sun rises!
Ride now, ride now, ride to Gondor!”
When the Rohirrim ride out and their king gives that speech it is glorious.
The movie didn’t quite capture it …
Please hypnotists me, make me forget the letters G W.
Hi weekenders an OTTers.
That corporate wars stuff would be great for NPCs for the judge dredd game…
damn it, gerry (even tho its Ben’s fault)
Ooh that’s a fab Ork tank.
The hair on that warg looks really weird.
Ooh a Ork Dok Loveless.
Is this Jim Bowen of “often seen on the Perry’s site” fame?
great smashing super
Wow the taurux looks like the polar bear tour trucks Nice
Yay Ben turns into Sideshow bob.
Settle down now… it’s on!
Ooh love the Robocop figures.
Savage that’s a Warzan game.
A great entertaining show guy’s.
Yes you are right Ben LotR Battle strategy game is still the best game GW has made
Those Ork and Grot bits from Models and Minis are spectacular. Great to see new ways to make more cool greenskin stuff for the table. Especially since GW seem so reluctant to show them any real love these days.
Was i meant to be here did someone tell my wife, so lotr new rules 2
Best house???? HOW is best!! just like the greatest movie ever made is the Greatest.
#BEST HOUSE
Hypnotizing to get to rewatch something fresh would be a lot of fun especially. Or just play this game as a different way of experiencing it.
Love the new starter set. I play in 20mm using Dark Alliance miniatures. Might have to get this though because Osgiliath ja my favorite battle in the War of the Ring
I like the dark races. They’re easier to paint! 😛
The tank in Indiana Jones would be a cross between a British MkIV and a French Char B
morning all,
it’s pretty hot here already, how are folk coping?
How about a half duck, half dwarf that has a fine beard covering it’s beak
It is also very hot and humid here. (The netherlands)
Wishing for some rain….
we have rain, started yesterday I stood in the garden loved it
Will be watching LotR this summerbreak with my son (10 years old) woyld be cool if this starter will get him into wargaming.
Ooh sweet prize… always wanted to visit Osgiliath 🙂
Yes! The new LotR box set might get me into the game!
That LotR stuff is very nice
Really hope this new set revitalizes Middle-Earth gaming. Brilliant system and great fun to play at any scale from a small skirmish to a huge massed battle. Terrific show as ever, have a great weekend folks!
Cool prize.
I’ve never had “con crud.” TBH, ever since the pandemic hit, I’ve been healthier than I’ve ever been what with people wearing masks all the time and washing their hands. Does that make me a disciple of Nurgle?
I really like the minis for MESBG but why the Forgeworld stuff? I get that it’s a smaller range and yeah, it’s not finecast but still, those Rivendell elves are awfully expensive.
Good.show. new LotR box looks aces
Crooked Dice Corporate Wars looks ace.
When Lord of the rings was released it was completely underrated
they didn’t want to overshadow Whamster at the time, the idea was LotR fans would come in and then stay for the other game that makes them more money. I think since they exploded the Whamster World and all that’s left is fantasy 40K more people appreciate the rules LotR is built around
I realized I don’t have many Elves in my LOTR collection. This means I need to buy the news ones for starters.
Great show thanks guys ?
I love seeing lotr get some love!
I am just happy Gothmog has a mace option
I have some Lord of the Rings miniatures from when they first came out, I might have to dust them off and maybe even paint them (and maybe get some rules as I am sure they have changed).
i will take your rohan off you lloyd
great show!!! happy weekender
Witcher stuff looks great. Interested.
Lord of the Rings will always hold a special place in my heart as my classic introduction to fantasy. The GW Lord of the Rings game has always interested me but I have never took the dive. This may be the box which does it.
I agree. The LOTR strategy battle game is definitely Games Workshop’s best tabletop game.
I know some people are clambering for resculpts of the original plastics but to me this could be a poisoned chalice. The old sculpts still hold up very well IMO, as bare plastics they details can be quite soft but they paint up very nicely. New basics sculpts run the risk of looking out of place and potentially overshadowing some of the older hero sculpts and there will of course be the mandatory price raise.
it has been awhile since I have been here – enjoyed the session 🙂
The Osgiliath ruins in the new LOTR Boxset look very nice.
Models are looking great! Gondor always needs some love
