Rumbling forth to deal with the Soviets, the Germans and the Ghost Panzers welcome four new Platoon packs for use in Flames Of War. To lead things we have the Panzer III (Late) Tank Platoon...

Panzer III (Late) Tank Platoon - Flames Of War

This is one of the new plastic kits for the world of Flames Of War and shows off that they can get those more realistic proportions for their tank crews once again! This was a stalwart tank of the era and whilst it was showing its age the Germans uparmoured these particular tanks to make sure they could deal with the heftier firepower they were having to deal with.

Following on from them we have some more Panzers, the Panzer IV (Late) Tank Platoon.

This particular version had a longer barrel meaning that they were perfect at taking out Soviet Medium Tanks. Remember that tactical titbit when you're getting ready to strike! It was uparmoured as you can see AND was also slicked in Zimmerit paste meaning that magnetic anti-tank weapons were not quite as effective against it.

Tank Hunters are a designation of tank worth considering too for your force and you can get more of those for the Germans with the Ferdinand Tank-hunter Platoon.

This might look like a quirky contraption but the 8.8cm Pak43 on the front of this thing was able to blast apart pretty much anything it came up against. Factor in the insanely heavy armour on the front of this thing and it could quite possibly just keep rumbling forward under fire, blasting apart targets as it did.

If you're looking to crack open places where infantry are bogged down then you might need the Brummbar Assault Tank Platoon.

This particular tank has plenty of rules and armaments which enable it to crack open places where infantry are dug in. It could simply roll forward and push the Soviets further and further from their positions allowing the infantry that followed in its wake to clean up the mess.

Are you tempted to pick up these new vehicles?
