Unit9 are nailing it again with their cyberpunk police this month
September 3, 2020 at 11:48 am #1564058Cyber Forge are still finding their feet, but seem to be committed to a more “cyberpunk and sci-fi” combination. Their models are great fun to paint; just about the right level of detail (not so much it becomes overwhelming, more than enough to keep the minis looking interesting)
With a troll character this month it also seems like they’re trying to differentiate themselves from Unit9 by introducing more “fantasy” like elements to their characters.
September 3, 2020 at 11:52 am #1564059Another creator going for the more ShadowRun/fantasy cyberpunk than human-only Blade-Runner-esque is Papsikels.
I nearly gave up on this creator a few months back – the number of characters per month wasn’t high and the poses were all pretty plain and static. But he’s really upped his game in the last few months – more characters, fewer kit-bashes of older models, and some pretty interesting dynamic poses (finally!).
He’s also collaborating with a few others on scatter terrain and vehicles. One to watch.
September 3, 2020 at 12:05 pm #1564072A new creator caught my eye this month. Not so much because of the Elvira-like release for September, but because she’s one of the few creators whose full-colour renders don’t look “polar-express-like” creepy. With a “swamp-thing” looking character for this month too, there’s a heavy 80’s vibe going on…
September 3, 2020 at 12:14 pm #1564074RNEStudio has an interesting looking set of gladiators this month.
I haven’t any games/rules to use these with, but if I’ve got a tenner left towards the end of the month, I might just pick them up because the models look so cool!
September 3, 2020 at 12:19 pm #1564076Titan Forge have a double-release this month, with Ogre (pirates by the looks of it) and Amazons both being released in September.
As usual, the sculpts look beautiful and with a few animals with riders this month, it might be worth picking up just to have some cool kit-bashing options for use in the future? At just $10 for all this, it seems wrong not to….
September 4, 2020 at 7:42 pm #1564429I’ve always been interested more in sci-fi/moderns than fantasy but every now and again someone like Artisan Guild or Titan Forge produce some minis that are just so damned cool it’d be rude not to get them.
Today I discovered a new Patreon (to me) with modern soldiers and couldn’t resist – like many fantasy patreons I’ve supported, they’re a bit out of my usual area of interest, but just look to good to pass up : https://www.patreon.com/m/4402392/posts
I’m still waiting for the full release for September, but things so far are looking very encouraging
I’ve no idea what game(s) to use these for – but they just look so cool, with so much promise, I couldn’t help myself!
September 9, 2020 at 2:32 pm #1565451I can’t see a group pic, just sigle posts of single minis. Theres something hidden behind a paywall
The variant holding lightsabers and wearing a cowl is cool
And this is being added to their welcome kit
And more to come
September 9, 2020 at 3:07 pm #1565460I think its more but everything is hidden behind a paywall. This is just what they shared on FB. I don’t understand why you would hide your merch until after someone pays for it. “Wanna buy my wares? ” “Maybe. Whatca selling?” “Im not saying, but its $10”
Another one whose inventry is hidden until after you pay for it.
Closed their Patreon after just one month
Aleph and O12 weapons
Not sure. Its hidden behinf a paywall, but I think I see another Titan through the blur
September 9, 2020 at 3:30 pm #1565476Oh, and dont forget: Free minis here
October 15, 2020 at 10:32 am #1574929I’ve finally updated the October patreon watch over here.
