The new selection of miniatures offers up a variety of characters and core troops for you to use when mustering your force. You could include someone as prominent and well-known as Prince Louis or you could go for a gang of grizzled veterans who have been charged by their local lord to fight for nothing other than the promise of loot!

The great thing about what we do have throughout the range is that all of the miniatures are individuals and they are armed with an array of different weapons. If you were looking to make a properly unique fighting force then these folks have sorted that!

When it comes to skirmish-level wargames I think uniqueness is very important. As you play, characters develop a life of their own and go from being hunks of metal to living and breathing individuals who you end up caring about! Make sure you name all of your grizzled soldiers!

Robin Hood and Friar Tuck look fantastic but they are also joined by Maid Marian, Little John and Will Scarlet too. I have always been fascinated with Robin Hood and his escapades so it might be hard for me to avoid snapping these up!

Whilst I like the idea of building a band of outlaws, I do also see some merit in perhaps using Robin and his companions as a wandering nuisance. Maybe you could come up with some rules to have the Merry Men turning up during a regular scenario, intent on robbing away a few choice objectives and scuppering the plans of you and your opponent?

Little narrative elements like that might be a fun way to shake up your standard scenarios and provide both factions with a common enemy for a few minutes!
