Robert Salters' Battlespace has been available since 2020 but Modiphius has stepped in to produce a deluxe edition of the game. Dive into some ultra-modern skirmishes on the tabletop in this solo and cooperative miniatures game.

When diving into Battlespace, the player(s) will create a set of four pre-made soldiers that form your fireteam which could take the form of one of the new pre-made teams, the SAS, CIA or Spetsnaz. The new version of the game also comes with rules for character creation so you can create the perfect fireteam for your missions or perhaps mirror those from movies and TV shows.

Battlespace uses an in-built AI for the movement and actions of your enemies. Talking of enemies, the new deluxe edition of the game also comes with rules for playing against the new Criminal Organization and Dark Lake PMC.

One of the neat aspects of Battlespace is that it also uses a fog of war mechanic that gets introduced through the use of sitrep cards. This will add to the uncertainty on the battlefield and mean that you'll have to be on your toes when it comes to the challenges that the enemy throws at you.

Finally, it should be noted that the new edition adds more rules for vehicles like helicopters and boats plus a mission generator that allows you to set up games very quickly. Battlespace sounds like it could be a lot of fun, especially if you played with a few friends.
