The team from Radio Dishdash have taken to Kickstarter with another ruleset AND collection of miniatures for those that want to try out some Modern Warfare tabletop gaming.

The rules of Ultracombat will focus in on Modern Warfare that spans the globe right now and gets you stuck into the skirmish engagements that happen between squads in both urban and rural settings.

The game has been going through playtesting for six months and they've tried to make it a tight and realistic experience of Modern Warfare on the tabletop. It builds on the rules they developed for Skirmish Sangin and the like which we know Gianna is a big fan of.

US Vs Russia?

When it comes to the miniatures from the Kickstarter campaign we're seeing a real focus on the clash between the soldiers of both the US and Russia.

With the world being in the state that it is, it is becoming more and more of a possibility that these particular forces are going to fight. Added to that, both the US and Russia have some of the highest spec equipment and training out there, giving you a cutting-edge force to use on the tabletop.

The miniatures are all in 28mm scale so they will work alongside a lot of other Modern ranges out there. From what we're seeing already of the 3D renders the details are pretty sharp and hopefully when they get translated into real-world that gets carried across.

When it comes to the Kickstarter, you can either snag yourself the US or Soviet forces OR get your hands on both. There's no reason that they can't be used to go up against Insurgents and the like as well as possibly fighting each other.

Oh, and if you really want to go over the top you also have some big vehicles like the US Stryker.

Most soldiers on the ground are accompanied by armour that is sent in to protect them and watch over their advance. So, if you fancy making sure the enemy stays hidden away then this would be a good idea.

Are you going to be checking out this Kickstarter in more detail?
