FossilPunk Divulge More Info On The Othniellians Of Sauriana

While the last faction we looked at for FossilPunk's Sauriana were all about hunting big game this next one, the Othniellians are all about science and creating weird and quite dangerous creations!
Their faction is focused around the brilliant scientist Othniel Charles Marsh who is a paleontologist but with a slightly exaggerated Darwinian viewpoint. He has developed a serum, as you can see above, which can bring dinosaurs to life and turn humans into walking prehistoric beasts!
However, while he might be slightly mad he is still a paleontologist and has many in his service like the Rockhound who head out into the field in search of fossils and other treasures to further his studies.
These Rockhounds are the 'cowboys of science' according to their background so they have a bit of the Indiana Jones about them. In terms of gameplay they favour the up close and personal way of fighting.
When all of their faction can turn into dinosaurs you can see why they might shun the long ranged option!

I’d not heard about this game or company previously. It might have been mentioned on a weekender but I don’t recall. It’s interesting that it will be 54mm miniatures. If the miniatures are as good as the art I’m going to be picking some up. They only have one on the website right now and he could easily be Teddy Rossevelt. Looking forward to see more from these guys.
Roosevelt? In a Pith helmet? I think you’re confused dear boy, that good fellow is clearly from Blighty ;-P.
Agreed on the game, it looks really intriguing. Looking forward to seeing some more of their interesting factions.
