Knucklebones Miniatures are at one with the grimdark and it also seems like they might have a soft spot for 28mm Ratmen that slot nicely into your Fantasy wargames. This 3D printable Ratmen collection expanded recently with the addition of a new Champion.

Ratman Champion - Knucklebones Miniatures

Ratman Champion // Knucklebones Miniatures

The newest miniature is the Champion who comes armed with plenty of weapons for hunting down hapless humans. This fellow comes armed with a man-catcher and two swords, hunched over and sneaking through the tunnels of the underempire. He looks like a good option for those wanting to build up a new Mordheim warband or find a new option for leading a bigger unit or regiment.

Looking back at previous releases for the Ratmen, there is also this Seer as part of the collection. He comes with a skull-like visage as if the magic that he has stolen for his own nefarious purposes has withered him to a husk.

These are just two of the Ratmen available from Knucklebones which could be handy for those excited by the idea of Skaven in the new edition of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. More of the Ratmen can be found HERE  and I'm sure as the months roll on, we'll see more added to the range.

A Funky New Goblin

If you want to go down a different route, there is also this grimdark Goblin for you to choose from that recently got added to their MyMiniFactory page.

Goblin Champion Of Chaos - Knucklebones Miniatures

Goblin Champion Of Chaos // Knucklebones Miniatures

This fellow is the wildly named Jutjut Wizenedtongue who is a Goblin Champion Of Chaos. He clearly gets his gifts from some otherworldly deity but also has plenty of cunning for good measure. I also like the idea that he might not actually be a goblin and he's just a squat little human that everyone has taken to calling green and mean. I reckon he could be both a cool martial champion but also a spellcaster if you so desired.

Grimdark Bundles

In addition to the Ratmen and the Goblin, there were also two bundles of miniatures that you could scoop up from their MyMiniFactory page for creating warbands of the damned in your Fantasy and Sci-Fi wargames.

Vastarian Bundle - Knucklebones Miniatures

Vastarian Bundle // Knucklebones Miniatures

The Vastarian Bundle comes with a couple of preachers who are either making sure the good word gets out or feeding you a pack of lies. I think there's most likely very little difference between the two ideals! You just know that any fellow with a hat that big is compensating for something or has some hideous mutation they need to hide.

If you're going a bit more militaristic then you also have this Citizen Defence Group that you could download and print.

Whether you're taking to a radioactive wasteland or battling on some forgotten planet on the other side of the galaxy, these grunts could be good for representing the rank and file that you either need as allies or as fodder for your big guns.

You could approach painting these as mutants or regular humans and go wild with the painting or keep it quite muted. They have a great old-school look to them and would be perfect for a lot of different Oldhammer warbands out there in various games.

What do you think of these recent miniatures from Knucklebones?

"He looks like a good option for those wanting to build up a new Mordheim warband..."
