Lucid Eye is expanding the world of Ziggurat even more with five more sets of metal miniatures. These could be used in your Historical games or for something a little more Fantasy-based if you want to get mythological!

We lead with the Mercenary Command set which gives you a pair of characters who are no doubt heroes in their own right. Admittedly, they might be heroes who really only fight for the right price but they can be heroes all the same!

Those commanders can then lead a couple of sets of Mercenary Hoplites. You can either get your miniatures Armoured or Unarmoured depending on what you need.

I have always liked Hoplites since I saw an illustration of one in an old Horrible Histories book. They look extremely badass with their big round shields and leather armour, spears at the ready. I think both of the sets here are neat but if I had to make a decision, I'd go with the Armoured pack I reckon.

If you're looking for a bit of ranged support then you can also call on a band of Mercenary Peltasts...

...and also a pack of Mercenary Javelinmen too.

As mentioned earlier, all of these sets would work really nicely for the slightly mythological setting of Ziggurat but they could also be folded into some cool Historical forces too. I'm sure there were plenty of grizzled veterans and commanders throughout the Greek States who would be more than willing to sell their swords to the highest bidder.

Are you going to be paying to add some mercenaries into your army?
