MOM Miniatures recently teased us with new sculpts of scifi armour clad warriors. But could these be their adaptation of Edge of Tomorrow?

MOM Miniatures Scifi Sculpts

Edge of Tomorrow was a 2014 scifi movie starring Tom Cruise, about humanity fighting off the alien Mimics with the use of their highly advanced mech suits. Throw in a healthy dose of time travel paradox and you have a pretty decent film.

Actually, it's probably closer to say that these might be based upon All You Need Is Kill, the much better named Japanese book that Edge of Tomorrow was originally based upon. The reason I think this is due to the cleaver wielding heroine leading the troopers.

I believe this to be Rita Vrataski, the secondary character of All You Need Is Kill and heroine of the human forces, giving the affectionate sobriquet of Full Metal Bitch.

Full Metal Bitch

If these models are intended to be the soldiers of the United Army from All You Need is Kill, then MOM Miniatures have gone for a far bulkier, power armour style for their exoskeletons, as opposed to the more servo like set up we saw in Edge of Tomorrow.

MOM have said that this project will most likely be appearing next year. I hope it is based upon All You Need Is Kill, as that has plenty of stuff to draw upon for the tabletop and I look forward to seeing what they come up with for the Mimics.

What do you think of MOM Miniatures take on the Full Metal Bitch?

Be sure to check out our review of All You Need Is Kill here.
