Nuclear Shrimp are going to launching their new 28mm scale wargame, Black Earth, soon via IndieGoGo and they've given us a quick peek at the world and the armies within it to get us started.

Black Earth

"In the earth of 2070 a race of mutated humans, known as the Homo Inhumanum, is wreaking havoc among the human population. The United Earth Federation, the largest political union on the planet, initiates Operation: Meteorite, a campaign to eradicate the brutes in an attempt to solidify itself as the protector and guardian of mankind.

Meanwhile, the Tecton Order, an elitist separatist faction within the UEF, is conspiring to see the operation fail and cause the federation to fall apart."

Three factions are therefore planned for you to get stuck into with two of them already fully painted up and looking rather neat!

United Earth Federation

The United Earth Federation seem to have some cool looking vehicles, some heavily armoured troops and a rather awesome Walker as you can see in the background. Conversely the Homo Inhumanum are a motley sort!

Homo Inhumanum

The game is said to have a new mechanic built in which will simulate real-time battling whilst also being fast paced and quick to get into. It will be cool to see how this manifests itself on the tabletop and the three factions should give folks a good choice when it comes to getting into the game.

Tecton Order

You can go and find out more about the world over on the Black Earth Wiki which goes into more detail and will be updated over time. Which of the three factions has caught your eye?

Drop your thoughts below!
