Special Artizan Service Miniatures: Contractor Benghazi is now on Kickstarter. This set of modern miniatures are in true scale 30mm, yet the creators say they will work well with any modern themed miniatures.

The miniatures in of themselves are very smart looking and do have the right look when it comes to their appearance and equipment. They would definitely add to anyone's collection of modern miniatures and could be used as contractors or spec-ops troops in many different scenarios. There is a nice variety in weapons and some with NODs.

So, let's address the elephant in the room, I do have some reservations about using Benghazi in the name. There is still a lot of people especially from the U.S. that this event is a very touchy subject.

No matter what political side you are on, we can all agree those men who went through this were very brave and showed the true meaning of courage and brotherhood in battle. I am the first to stand up when someone questions modern setting for wargames, but with this one, I might rethink the use of Benghazi.

In the end, these look to be some very good miniatures and will be well worth collecting for anyone looking to do modern era wargaming.

What do you think?
