I bought myself some tauntaun riders. It was time to get some hard hitting units for my rebels.

I’ve always been hesitant to add them to my scarif force. They looked like,  they only belonged on snow/ice planets. Now after i got some paint on them, they will fit in just fine, provide even more close fire and combat option for me.

They are where much easier to paint than I thought .

I primed them with ap Uniform Grey

Leather, ap Leather Brown , ap Strong Tone

Face, ap babarien flesh, washed with ap Strong Tone, highlighted 1 to 1 ap mat white and ap babarien flesh

The soldiers where painted the same way as my rebel troopers https://www.beastsofwar.com/project-entry/1418502/#comments

The sleeping bags, vj green Grey, ap Strong tone

The whole tauntaun was washed in ap Strong Tone.

I was thinking about drybrushing the hair after the wash, but I likes the result so much, I just think I will keep it?

As my sweet mother always said, ‘Son, if one hostage is good, two are better. And three, well, that’s good business.’

I forgot, I got this beautiful model from skull forge of Hondo, one of my favourite characters from the Clone Wars series. He is a true pirate and I’m gonna use him as rebel officer, or even stand in from Han Solo, Leia or Lando. Might even make up some rules ?

Let’s see if can remeber the colours i used ? I used AP Dragon Red for his coat, washed it with a GW seraphim wash, and then highlighted with a AP Lava Orange.

The metal on his coat, helmet and pistol painted VJ German Field Grey, drybrushed AP Plate Mail Metal on, washed with a GW Nuln Oil

His skin is AP Leather Brown, his shirt AP Uniform Grey, washed with GW Arthrax Earthshade

Its all painted!

I finally have a fully painted army! I onle done this ones before (my bolt action army).

So I snapped some fast pics of them all

In this pic are there the following units :

Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Sabine Wren, Leia Oregano, Jyn Erzo, Chewie, 2 units of Wookies, 2 unist of Fleet troops, 6 units of Rebel Troopers, 3 AT-RT’s, 1 unit of pathfinders, 1 unit of rebel commandos, a group of specialists, 1 airspeed, objectives and barricades.

And wow it feels good! But I have a felling more rebels are incoming, Christmas time is around the corner, or as we say in Danish Jul ! Time for herring, snaps and many other wonderful jule traditioner.

And thanks for all the likes, and comments you guys have been writing sins i started this blog. Its probably more a star wars legion experience blog, than just painting.

Happy Holidays everyone 🙂

So I been painting Sabine Wren, and im not interly happy with the result, i might return to her later. The biggest problem I had was all the diffrent pattern she has on her armor. I tried to replicate it as good as i could, but i was not happy with the result. I ended up with a simple armor, but I might return to her later.

AP Uniform Grey Primer

Armor: AP Alien Purple, AP Matt White, AP Lava Orange, AP Uniform Grey, GW Nuln Oil, AP Matt Black

Uniform: VJ German Grey, AP Uniform Grey, AP Leather Brown, AP Skeleton Bone, GW Arthrax Eathshade

After a lot of failed attempt to free hand the rebel alliance logo, on her armor, i started painting my AT-RT, i used the same technic as with my other walkers. So that’s it…

I finished all of my rebel models, terrain and objectives I have.

Ive finally managed to paint up Jen Erso. I bought her back in 2018 at Salute, so she have been in my shame pile a long time.

Ive always been afraid to paint her, but when i first started it turned out really great.

I started priming her AP Uniform Grey.

Pants :VJ German Grey, drybrushed AP Uniform Grey. I painted the straps with AP uniform Grey. and washed with GW Nuln Oil. I then highlighted the straps with AP Uniform Grey

Leather west, belt, and Shoes: VJ Chocolate Brown for the brown parts, AP Plate Mail Metal for some parts on the belt. There is little part of the shoes, i painted AP Uniform Grey. All of it was washed with GW Arthrax Earthshade.

Shirt: AP Greenskin, and some sewing was painted AP Skeleton Bones, and washed in GW Nuln Oil.

Gloves: AP Leather Brown, washed with GW Nuln Oil

Skin: Two thin coats of AP Elven Flesh, and then a ligh GW Reikland Flesh Shade

Hair: AP Leather Brown, washed with Arthrax Earthshade

Gun: 1:1 VJ German Grey and Gunmetal grey, dry brushed with AP Plate Mail metal, and then washed in GW Nuln Oil.

Stick: Half of it was painten VJ German Grey, and the other half AP Plate Mail metal, washed whole thing in GW Nuln oil.

Scarf: VJ German grey, drybrushed with AP Uniform Grey and washed with GW Nuln Oil

And thats basically it, she turned out really great, as you can see in the pics bellow. Looking forward to try her out in battle, even though she should be a trickery commander to master.

More objektives

I painted up the 3 com stations. It was again a very base paint job, a lot like the barricades.

I primed them AP Mat Black, drybrushed it with AP Plate Mail Metal, washed it with GW Nuln oil, painted up the bottoms and cables with AP Voideshield blue, and AP Pure Red.

Think they turned out okay 🙂

Another group of rebels troopers!

Hopefully the last group of rebel troopers i have to paint in a while. Painted as all my other rebels, but i did something different with the skin. In star wars their is a lot human looking aliens, just in other colors. Best example is properly  Grand Admiral Thrawn (on of my personal favorites from both the expanded and cannon universe. Voiced by the Danish actor Lars Mikkelsen in Rebels) But there is other blue human looking aliens out there beside Thrawns race.

So painted them all the skin color AP Voidshield Blue, washed with a GW Nuln Oil, and then a little highlight with AP Voidshield Blue. The beards are painted with AP Uniform Grey and washed with GW Nuln Oil.

I have single insectoid trooper where I painted his skin, like I did on my sniper.

I think it turned out pretty good. Now I can see the difference between the many units of rebel troopers I have.

Had a fun skirmish match against a good friend of mine last week.

It was a very close game, and we had a lot of fun, he won 3-2 but it was very close to be a draw. I only have a few pics from the match, because it was around that time my phone started to fail…

But I got a good picture of his beautiful Empire. His very good at painting white and I love his special forces (but dont tell him that)

The only pic from the acutely battle... yes im sad about it too.. The only pic from the acutely battle... yes im sad about it too..
