About the Project

What's that supposed to be, a "paintathon"? The paintathon is a painting offensive. I want to use my free days and the evenings after work in October to get something done, getting paint on minis. My minimum goal is to paint 42 miniatures (following the km of a marathon) ready to play. The goal is deliberately set so low. This was started by Tom of Magabotato.de in 2016 and happens annually. Join me! Let's see if I can make it this year.

Now these are a challenge. Not so much because of the models but because there seems to be no consistent colour scheme to the Judges. So what to do? I’ve opted for “use the same colour as on the judges and add black”. Seems to work so far. I’m a bit worried that the flames and the ghost versions will ruin the looks but I’ll worry about that when I’m there.

These Dark Judges went better then expected in no small part due to the magic of washes. Next basings.

And now the bases are painted… and I’m watching paint dry… again… sometimes I think half the hobby is watching things dry….
