The Weekender is back again and we've got some awesome stuff for you this weekend. We're going to be looking at the awesome Battle For Sophia which is going on right now, an email from an avid viewer, Dropzone Commander, SPIEL and some Wild West goings on.
On top of all that we take a closer look at how to play Last Night On Earth! It's quite the jam packed show for you guys and we have even dragged in Sam to have a chat.

Im looking forward to the WWX coverage. I backed the kickstarter as I love the concept, but now that ive seen the retail price I think I am going to need some convincing to actually keep it (here is where @broadside slaps me upside the head)
I’m clearly not broadside BUT i’m a backer of it and I highly suggest joining the WWX forum if you haven’t already, I’m Jimmy Hobo on there. The company has proven itself time and time again that they truly care about the customers which is a very rare thing in these times it seems.
Yes the models are a bit expensive but far from the worse. You also need to remember that this game goes from very small skirmish games to bigger, The admins of the forum were given early access to the rules (look for their really good podcast called “The good the bad and the enlightened”) and have said that the games plays really well at small games. one told me “it is the best Clint Eastwood film you’ll never see or the best red dead redemption game you’ll never play” this game is very very cinematic. very few games if any let you ram a vehicle into a building and let the people inside it storm the building. look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEbj_6WQqQs first ever battle report awesome guy (that was kind enough to share it all) that pledged to get a model made and to meet the team. I could go on for ages so all i can suggest to you or anyone on here is to get on the forum and see how awesome it really is.

I agree with demyse. I was really looking forward to WWX. I just missed the kickstarter, but was ready to paint and play The Warrior Nation until I saw the retails prices.
I guess their success on kickstarter went to their heads.
I will NOT be getting into this.
There are many other games of equal quality for better value.

The touring idea sounds awesome, it would be great to have a chance to meet you guys, and have chat. And on the subject of Zombies, have you seen World War Z yet, as there’s a scene on board a plane which I think warren would love to see.
I have learnt two things today, firstly what happened to all the white dog nuggets and secondly when your up to your neck in it with Zombies “Don’t trust Lloyd”.
Beasts of War on tour sounds like a great idea, you could bring the tour bus/campervan/motorhome/unicycle to Salute!

Warren, you asked would a Zombie have Turretts, well my wife, whom from now on will be also know as Hawk Eye, spotted in the opening credits of Romeros Dawn of the Dead, a Zombie, centre crowd, on crutches! I Sh1T you not. Ive watched it many many times and Ive never spotted it. So Id say yeah to whatever, short sighted paraplegic etc.
Boom Sticks, Chainsaws and as many Brains as you can get on the Audio the better. Howls and sreams are a given of course. Bruce it up Baby.

Is it just me, or does the Brimstone game seem remarkably similar to Mercs Mini’s Myth? Co-op game against the darkness with tiles?
I know they’ve been working on this for a while and heck there’s room for both – not sure I can afford both but I’m gonna try for this one as well as Myth!

Guys, I really like the whole outdoors weekender thing. It emphasizes the whole “couple of guys talking about their favorite hobby” idea. In a strange way, it hits a note that the studio version never could. I hope you continue this even after you finally get to set up your studio.

Well the reason for the lack of white doggy poop is obvious.
Schools no longer need chalk because they have swapped blackboards for whiteboards
The market for chalk dropped right through the bottom.
Dogs stopped making white poop as it was no longer economically viable.
I am enjoying the outtakes on these weekenders. It adds even more entertainment value 🙂
I think it was actually raining very lightly at times, judging from the hits on the river (I watch it in 720 HD).
If you’re going on tour don’t forget interesting places in Europe. It might be good test flight for Warren before taking the challenge to go all the way to the US.
And ehm… ‘living blood’? Sounds like someone has been marked by Khorne.
I love the Roman Time Period so I have to point out that Nine Man Morris is in fact even older played by the ancient Roman called Mola. I actually had to create a Mola Board in high school Latin.
