Games Workshop will be shouting "Cadia Stands!" this weekend as pre-orders go live for the new Army Set for the Astra Militarum. This will be your first chance to snap up the newest miniatures and the Codex ahead of the full release of the range for Warhammer 40,000.

The Army Set comes with twenty-eight of the new miniatures. The core of this particular set is in the twenty Cadian Shock Troops. They can be armed with their classic lasguns and of course a range of special weapons when the fighting calls on something with a bit more punch.

Alongside the Cadian Shock Troops, you also have a five-man Command Squad that can lead the way alongside your officers plus two of the big Field Ordnance Teams. Big guns never tire. Finishing things off, you've also got the Sentinel that can be designed in the Armoured or Scout variant.

As mentioned, this is going to be one of the first chances to snap up the miniatures for the Astra Militarum and everything in this set won't be out for a while. So, if you want to get an early look at the Astra Militarum for Warhammer 40,000 before 2023 rolls around, keep an eye out for the pre-orders.

Goff Rockers!

You can also celebrate the festive season with a new Christmas miniature, the Goff Rocker. This fellow is going to be available for the festive period and will come with his own set of mini-games to play with him which seems awesome.

This fellow is going to be making sure that the Orks are pumped up before charging into the fighting. I like the idea that they call every close combat a "mosh pit". If you order this miniature before New Year's Eve then you will be guaranteed to get one apparently.

It's nice to see the folks at Games Workshop create a Christmas miniature that isn't actually Christmassy. This is a fun miniature for the Orks (that could probably have been an Orktober miniature, right?) and it can be used beyond the festive season. A nice bonus.
