April 7, 2025 by brennon
Steamforged Games have now taken to MyMiniFactory with their Warmachine Digitial collection, giving you access to monthly STL file downloads, which you can use to bring more factions and characters to the tabletop as well as loads of terrain and accessories. Best yet, there is a Free Trial for the month of April.
Warmachine Digital // Steamforged Games
The Free Trial runs through April until the 29th and will give you access to 130 high-quality STL miniatures, terrain and more. Best of all, there is the entirely battle-ready Hive Mind Cadre, which means that you can dive in and start playing Warmachine with these twisted creators and their creatures!

Included as part of the entire bundle, you'll get your hands on 130+ STL files with bonuses like terrain, objectives, defences and base toppers, which you can use to personalise your Warmachine force. For example, this particular set comes with...
- A variant Buck Hasker warcaster themed to the famous Ghost Dogs Trencher company
- The first Gravediggers terrain set - Trenchers Outpost
- Gravediggers-themed base toppers and accessories
...which focuses on the theme of the Gravediggers for the month of April.

With the advent of 3D printers becoming more available in people's homes, it seems like a good idea for Steamforged Games to offer up sets like this that you can print at your leisure. I think this is particularly good when it comes to terrain, which is one of the best things for you to churn out on a 3D printer.

This means that a lot of folks will be able to theme their tabletops appropriately rather than feeling like they have to go down the generic route with whatever they have in their collection. It makes your tabletops all the more exciting and interesting and keeps you in the zone when wargaming.
What you see here is just a snapshot of what's available as part of the free trial and the welcome pack so make sure to get stuck in and see what's on offer.
Will you be signing up?

Generally speaking I’m not a huge fan of the warmachine aesthetic but I do kind of like some of those multi-armed dudes so I joined their tribe, we’ll see where it goes from here.
The newer stuff is a bit beyond me with its “busy-ness”, but I LOVE the older, more grounded WM aesthetic.
Sadly, there’s nothing else out there like it; everything steampunk is either really busy (Wild West Exodus), or really silly and whimsical, or really typical and kinda boring.
I wonder if they’re releasing the older “Armies of Legend” via digital; scanning the old sculpts and releasing STLs? There was another company (can’t remember which) that talked about doing that with older minis.
Those Cephalyx are really good-looking, maybe the best MKIV minis yet.
I don’t do digital. I’m just so … analog.
I end up having to get someone to print everything for me.
Which limits how often I want to do that
I asked about this somewhere. IIRC there will be a physical release for Cephalyx etc. I think the digital offering is too get stuff sooner and I guess cheaper.
This is an Awesome Idea, although the models can be used for other games. NICE!!! sculpts
