This video point out 3 important thing of the game:
1- have a lot of miniature in your army to have a lot of order to spent
2- have multiple unit close to be able to call aror together, to increase survaibility
3- put the sniper in the highest spot if the map to be able to call aro every single time
…all of that is only good in theory! A sniper up high will have limited fire-lanes and if they can see someone they can see you too.
In many of my games, all it takes is 1 dedicated elite with an HMG to paste a sniper. You seeing everyone means everyone sees you. 1 dice vs. 3-4 doesn’t bode well for snipers unless they are rocking serious cover and camo.
That is one of the joys of infinity, there is no auto-win unit. Snipers on high points are great… until they meet a counter.
HMG’s sound great until someone gets into shotgun range.
Attack on the active and defend on the reactive is a simple idea but gets very complex.
The animations have became better.
I like it when company have these small tutorial videos to quickly show you the basics of the game.

Got the start of a good little tutorial series here hopefully – I’ve tried to watch some infinity bathers before, but with this kind of quick rules outline then they’d have mad much more sense!
The information in this video is real, and really helps someone like me who has only had a couple of small games and still finds the fundamentals of the game a bit impenetrable, buuut……..
Does nobody else find the voiceover really cringey? And a bit, sort of, forced/artificial? (And not in that cool aleph way!).
Maybe it’s just me. Still, a helpful and concise introduction nonetheless 🙂

Anyway the video seems alright.
Just a bit fast to keep up with the information. Probably, it’d be nice to give a short overview what is going to be explained, too. Thus it’s easier to understand what’s going on right now and where this is within the overall sequence. As well for the whole video series. That also helps, if your explanatory concept is establishing something, then go back and modify that as it is done here (which might be a bit irritating).
And, I’d mention that there is more to do than killing and moving but is omitted in this short introduction.
Very well-made video to introduce the basic concepts! I find it a bit weird how the speaker pronounces Haqqislam, but aside from that, very professional! Hope there are more to come with more advanced concepts?

Nice video. I was thrown a bit for the first few sentences (expecting an Irish accent). Then I realised that it was Tom Schadle of MayaCast fame, so it was all good. I’d recognise that voice anywhere (89 podcasts is a lot of listening to two guys talk about Infinity). Keep ’em coming!

AROs are a cracking part of the game and the understanding of how they work really is a big part of the system “clicking”. Good work.
Really good video for introducing new players to Infinity. I see them more as a pre-initiation object than a real how to but that makes them more interesting un my opinion.

Man, Infinity is such a deep system, it’s great to have the basics laid out. especially because i’m so ingrained in second ed. need to update mah rules knowledge!
I wanted to play infinity for a while but the rules have always seemed confusing. This is the sort of video that people like me can use to learn the rules
At its heart Infinity is as simple as this… but in reality there’s two volumes of rules for a reason. Every faction has its own strengths and weaknesses – so does each model. The sheer number of specialist rules included to create this variety is what can appear daunting to a new player which is why the starter sets are so helpful as a stepping stone to the main game – or may be enough in their own right for some!
I will definitly buy red veil.
All the luck in the world to this new project from Corvus Belli, the game is complex, but with these kind of boxes the peope can easily get into the game!

These are good and it make me wonder how well the next two player start set of videos will be.
Nice and simple.
The videos are well made, I wish they had subtitles. That makes it possible to let an IPad or something similar integrated in the terrain as TV boards play them while you give demos on the table. On this way other viewers might watch the videos.

A very good instruction video on orders and A.R.O.s. The A.R.O. is one of the best things in Infinity apart from the beautiful minis, accessibility, superb artwork etc. OK, so there are lots of great things in this game!

This is a great video clearly highlights what makes Infinity stand out from other systems (apart from the cool minis!) – the order and ARO system. That’s got to pull players in who weren’t too sure about the game.

Though Warren’s Infinity rules explanation videos were really clear and useful, I really like this new approach. I am going to try and encourage some friends to play Infinity with me, so these videos will be a great introduction before they even get to my house to play.
Great video. For a newbie, seeing diagrams overlaid on the images with a narrator reading the rules is great. The quick start rules are pretty awesome, but sometimes having them told to you is a great way to reinforce what you’ve read.
Tutorial videos is a great idea. Got friends getting into the game, will definitely show them this.
The A.R.O. is still unique to Infinity.

I wouldn’t say that this vid is a training aid so much as a brief rundown of how the game plays, good for deciding on if you think this is a game you may like the mechanics for before you invest. I approve 🙂
I love the idea of a game where you can still come out ahead of your opponent during your opponents turn because of these A.R.O.s, That’s awesome.

The video post-production is the best you can imagine for explaining Infinity, I really love when on 2:20 theTuareg shot the multi sniper rifle, it feels like a movie.
A sound introduction video to what is a very layered game.
Nice little informative video, it just goes to show how easy “Infinity” is to play. Will have to see if i can get my grandson interested in playing, that`s if i can get him away from “Mine Craft” that is………….
So, the video shows that movement is always first. Is there never a situation where shoot or melee attacks come before moving? I’ll have to take a look at the rules.
Also, with the action points, the balance of power looks to tilt quickly to the player with more surviving units… I expect the battle ends quickly once one side suffers a couple casualties.

Infinity has been needing some updated learn to play vids for quite some time now. These look very good, well edited and explained well, certainly a must watch for anyone who is remotely interested in getting into infinity..
Pretty well put together video. The explanation of orders can be pretty abstract, but this one made it easy to conceptualize.

Video definitely does a good job of showing the basic, and choice of breaking down the rules into concepts than details seems promising.
Basics every game has them & it’s nice to see Corvus Belli explain them. Real dice rolling with anime bits, so very nice. There is a cost to lost team mates.

I actually enjoy a walk through of the intros since it gives you an idea how to teach new players.
When I was first starting with Infinity, the old rules overview videos Corvus Belli had put out were really helpful in getting my head around the basics. Its great to see new ones, using the rules from the latest edition… nothing new to those who have been at this awhile, but a great resource to which potential new players can be directed!
Great intro video series, loved the visuals. I do agree with the one poster that the narrator was a bit over-the-top. Sounded like he was pulled from an infomercial or a safety instruction video.
Well done Tom Schadle (Shaldez!) for the voiceover. Interesting pronunciation of Haqqislam.
As someone who learns best by doing and watching these 3 videos are an absolute joy! They make it quick, simple and easy to understand how infinity is played at the most basic level. Absolutely brilliant! Great work CB!
