DreadBall returns to the tabletop, designed by Blood Bowl creator Jervis Johnson and veteran game designer Alessio Cavatore. It also features art by the fantastic Stefan Kopinski. When you dive into the new DreadBall All Stars, you are going to be getting back into the non-stop action of the classic game as you race back and forth across the arena trying to score your strikes.
The twist for DreadBall All Stars is that they have made it easier than before to dive in. Each team is a set of pre-assembled All Stars, allowing you to dive straight into the action with a unique team, complete with their own abilities and playstyle to master.

DreadBall All Stars now features faster to learn rules, making the game quick and easy to dive into for a newcomer. There is also plenty of depth for veterans wanting to find out the best way to combo your tactics and abilities for better plays. Gerry also sat down with Jervis Johnson and Ronnie Renton to discuss what's different about DreadBall All Stars. You can check out that article HERE.
DreadBall All Stars Teams // Mantic Games
One of the well-loved elements of the classic DreadBall was the means to play through championships and in different arenas. Thankfully, both of those core elements of DreadBall remain. Championship Mode allows you to dive into four different Championships, providing you with unique Legacy Cards and a Championship Trophy.
Legacy Cards are unlocked during the course of your championship, allowing you to tweak and change the standard All Stars teams, building on their history, carried forward into future tournaments. It's a great way to do championship/league play without the weird quirks that come out of the likes of Blood Bowl tournaments.
DreadBall All Stars can also be played in several different Arenas.
DreadBall Arenas // Mantic Games
There are numerous different Arenas for two players, plus the epic Battle Royale Arena, which allows you to set three to six teams against each other in action-packed games. That is going to be true chaos but in the best way possible! All of this can be done with one of the various All Stars teams, which can then be personalised with the various Legacy cards!
DreadBall All Stars Pledges
There are a variety of entry levels for DreadBall All Stars over on the Kickstarter page.
DreadBall All Stars - Standard Pledge // Mantic Games
The Standard Pledge is where most folks are going to be joining this project. You get four teams, the Juggernauts, Jets, Sabrecats and the Krakens. You also get all of the components that you need to start playing the game.
Levelling up to the Expansion Pledge, you will also get the Painkillers and RBN Ryders, plus the Anarchy and Urban Rumble Arenas. Going up a level to the All In Pledge, you also get the Slammers team and the Battle Royale Arena. You can also go even bigger if you like and get your hands on all sorts of different accessories, bonus add-ons and more.
There's something for everyone here, regardless of whether you're a newcomer to DreadBall or someone who has been a veteran of the various versions of the game over the years.

Interesting that the most popular pledge (by far) is the “All-In” pledge. I guess the whales are still out there, ready to plonk down their hard-earned shekels on the latest iteration of a product Mantic has abandoned twice before, god bless ’em.
