Accessible Wargame, Battalion: War Of The Ancients Coming Soon

Osprey Games has announced a new, approachable wargame that you'll be able to pick up later this year called Battalion: War Of The Ancients. Designed by Paolo Mori and Francesco Sirocchi, you'll be able to take control of mighty armies from Ancient history.

Battalion: War Of The Ancients is a two-to-four-player game where you'll command units from one of four playable factions. You might march to war with the Roman legions, the Han dynasty, the Greco-Bactrian cavalry or the might of Hannibal and Carthage.
The idea is that Battalion is a tile-based wargame where you'll make up your different units out of said tiles. You'll then use these with cards and more to fight out Ancient battles for somewhere between twenty and forty-five minutes.

You'll be diving into proper rank-and-file warfare on the tabletop and working out the best way to employ your troops as the battle unfolds. The design looks very interesting so far and I like the artwork by Roland Macdonald.
