Raybox Games are back with another game in their Paths Unknown series. Building on The Cats of Mont Saint Michel, we now have The Cats of New Orleans coming to crowdfunding later this year! A new tale packed with animal adventures!

Here's some of the background to the new game...
"Welcome to The Cats of New Orleans. The year is 1868, and the city has acquired a modicum of peace in the aftermath of the Civil War. Cats — and even dogs — lick their wounds and look toward building a better life. However, the discontent of the city’s vermin bubbles like a cauldron full of crawfish that’s about to boil over."
As with previous entries in the series, The Cats of New Orleans is a solo/cooperative miniatures-based campaign game. This time, it takes place in the Crescent City, where you will play through a series of linked scenarios that will form a campaign and an unfolding, ongoing story. Each scenario will influence the next and the player's choices will take you on a winding adventure through New Orleans and beyond.
Cat Mystic // Raybox Games
All of this will be done through the use of a coil-bound scenario book. You'll be diving into combat quite often, driven by a d12 system, and find yourself facing mosquitoes, rats, snakes and other foul creatures that have risen up in New Orleans. You will get new loot, experience and skills as you play that can then be used to tackle stronger and tougher foes!
Cat Troubadour // Raybox Games
The Cats of New Orleans will take a few sessions to play through but you can save your progress easily thanks to the game components. Additionally, the first three scenarios of the game help you to learn as you play. This means that you can set up and start playing really quickly, learning about moving your heroes, fighting enemies, picking up loot and controlling the Vermin Army figures!
Gangster Rats // Raybox Games
Once you've mastered those first three scenarios, you can dive into the campaign proper and explore the choices that are open to you. If you've not played any of the Raybox Games range in the past, the Paths Unknown system is really cool and has a lot of scope for quick, fun storytelling. This feels like it's going to be another charming outing for the system.
Animal Adventurers // Raybox Games
The game features gorgeous artwork and miniatures once again and if it's anything like the last campaign, you'll be able to choose from figures like these or a standee version, making it a cheaper prospect for folks who want to get stuck in. It might also be the option for those who just don't want to paint!

Gorgeous miniatures. I’m going to have to look into this game. Of course, I’d love to hear what Ben thinks of these for Burrows & Badgers.
The minis look ok, but I’m staying away from kickstarters that could be years in the making.
They lost me at Kickstarter.
