We have been seeing a lot of spidey-centric Marvel characters making their way over to Marvel Champions: LCG recently. With the recent release of the Sinister Motives expansion, we have seen unlikely heroes step up to the plate - bringing NYC's villains to a halt.

Continuing on the web of Spider-heroes, Fantasy Flight Games have announced the newest hero (technically heroes) making their way to the card game title. Peni Parker and the SP//dr suit will be gearing up for battle saving New York battling one wacky villain at a time.

Peni Parker has gained control over an a mechanically minded spider-suit. Due to the misery caused by the mysterious death of her father, she sits alongside her radioactive arachnid co-pilot to thwart master villainous plans in action across the States of America and across the mad Multiverse.

Let's go back a second, did you say co-pilot arachnid? Indeed I did! SP//dr's identity card has been split up to into two. Whether you are looking to flex some support with Peni alone, or bring out the big guns for SP//dr to cause havoc. The hand-count is incredibly low, as players will be focussing on abilities to generate resources, with hope to build up the suit fast to maximise gameplay.

Along with the new opportunities with a new character on board, SP//dr brings a bonus modular encounter set, bringing Iron Spider's Sinister Six to embed into your current campaign, with a group of six criminals all equipped to give any Marvel Hero a fierce challenge. Dodging Hobgoblin's assault, avoiding Bombshell's blasts, and Sandman's dirty tactics.

Peni will come with a pre-build Protection deck, with 17 new cards in the pack ready to bring SP:dr to the tableotp. Ready for an adaptable playstyle against foes.

The SP//dr Hero Pack is now ready to be pre-ordered, and you can expect the technically minded Peni Parker and her Arachnid friend to be heading to FLGS stores for release in summer this year.
