Last month, board gamers were thrilled with the nostalgia-themed output that was heading over to our tabletops. With titles from the likes of Funko Games and CMON feeding players with board games that play to the tune of our past, there's no stopping the nostalgia train in the year 2021.

 The Goonies: Escape With One-Eyed Willy's Rich Stuff // The Op

The Op has recently got on board with the reminiscent journey, announcing the upcoming title The Goonies: Escape With One-Eyed Willy's Rich Stuff, set to come out in Q4 of this year.

The game has been aligned as a "Coded Chronicles" game, which means that this adventurous title is not just sitting dormant at a table, placing components where they need be. Alike previous Coded Chronicles titles such as Scooby-Doo: Escape from the Haunted Mansion and The Shining: Escape from the Overlook Hotel - players can expect a Goonies-themed escape room from the comforts of their own home.

Using inspiration from The Goonies film, players will explore and play out different events which occurred whilst on the hunt for One-Eyed Willy's treasure. As players uncover iconic locations, solve tasks and mysteries whilst utilising a code-revealing mechanism.

Getting the gang together has never been so easy, as players can choose their favourite Goonies Character to embark on the adventure with. So whether you want to knock back some Baby Ruth bars with Chunk and Sloth or take the helm with Mikey - there is a ton of adventure waiting for each character to explore with their own individual skills.

Although not much detail has been released for the title, the game has sold out on its pre-order on The Op's website, but be sure to check in with your FLGS store about this exciting upcoming title.
