Valhalla, created by Lukasz Wozniak, is an awesome card fighting game that was successfully published via a Polish fundraising platform earlier this year. Now they are looking to head to Kickstarter in October to bring this game to a wider audience with an English version of the game.

This game is a hybrid between card-based mechanics and dice allocation and sees each player bringing a warband of Vikings to the tabletop to do battle and fight for supremacy in a game steeped in Nordic myth and folklore.

"In battle, player roll dice to activate warriors and play special tactic cards. The winning party sends their activated warriors to Valhalla, and whoever has the most points at the end, wins the game. The game puts a classical "war game" concept on its head. In Valhalla, the goal is to win a battle and send winning warriors to Valhalla."

It sounds very cool indeed and I am a sucker for any game that involves dice allocation and, funnily enough, Vikings.

The Kickstarter will aim to not only bring the base game to life but also the Stretch Goals unlocked during the Polish campaign and an assortment of Add-Ons as well plus they will have lots of additional extras in the mix if the campaign continues to smash through funding targets!
