I’m in agreement that Star Wars going to Atomic won’t change much other than the logo.
The lead designer who created the game being sacked might have an effect on the future of the game.
Might depend on how far out they have designed already.
If they have quite a bit planned out already it would give a buffer of time for the “changing of the guard” so to speak.

AMG said they had plans for a new SW minis game. “Will and I have talked a lot about how we can create cool new Star Wars miniatures games that will excite fans and immerse them in the stories they love so much.”
Other posters say that IA is ending, so mebbe this new game will replace it. :/

BOTWAR minis have awesome names. The Dinoborgs are my favorite. Without you I wouldn’t have seen that one. Yay Warcry!
It is quite the gem isn’t it!
And prices are comparable to other games. Was it a softer or real hard type resin? Do you know?
I’m afraid I’m not sure about that. Might be worth doing a search on YouTube to see if anyone has unboxed the miniatures.
They are a hard resin with very crisp clean details which are needed and welcomed given the number of flat surfaces on some of the bots.
Most of the original metal bots are being reworked as resin.

Bot War looks very interesting, saw them being painted a few months ago and as the range increases it is adding some lovely stuff.

15mm Star Wars (and the other scales) would be rather awesome. Could play out some of the bigger battles during the Clone Wars, for example, a lot easier.

Yay for the weekender! Will try out a game of Rangers of Shadow Deep with the family this weekend (wife and kid), will post it as a part of lockdown leisure league if I manage that feat.
all the blackbirds leaked on the ground because if the made the joints too tight they would burst when they were going at mack3 guys.
All the figures are looking great i especially liked the robo raptor.
Well this week snuck up on me as well. At least now I’ve updated my hobby project log a bit.
The land shark was nice, as well as the t-rex. (I’ll have to watch the rest tomorrow.)
Bot War sounds like some sort of sumo contest, but with each opponent armed only with a backside.

Black Site’s Studios -Horror Miniatures. I headed straight over to Black Site Studios to snag ‘Dont Look Back’. Fantastic stuff!!! I have always received great terrain when ordering from them. I can’t wait to try this new game.

I really hope the FFG minis moving to Atomic Mass Games fixes the production and availability. For an IP that has a lot of current appeal, FFG has somehow managed to push folks away due to X-wing 2nd edition, limited production/availability, and limited releases. So much potential going to waste.
Though the Edge Studio transition seems to be on permanent hiatus. Few to almost no announcements, no Star Wars reprints, and limited Genesys updates. Maybe the people running Edge Studio feel Star Wars RPG’s are a thing of the past.

A lot of the issues are down to Asmodee more than anything. My hope is that the move between studios will mean that AMG works on just making MORE stuff for use in both eras that are currently available. More stuff should mean more for people to buy and hopefully Asmodee working on getting all that goodness out to people.
There was an Edge announcement a short while ago ao I think that things may start building up on the RPG side now that they’ve been able to get started (which may of course be wishful thinking). My concern with the Atomic Mass transition is that the same thing will happen – no news for another year. From an Armada perspective, given that they’re launching two Clone Wars era factions next month, another year delay won’t be good. Of course, this is the game that has only had three models released since 2018 (one of those being the Super Star Destroyer) so it won’t be anything new, but the lack of any kind of visible plan at this stage does have me concerned.

Justin is right, you don’t need to wait half a year or more for those STL files. You will have to wait a year to have printed all of it though.
Sorry to be the grumpy pedant here, but don’t is a contraction of do and not. Therefore, it has an apostrophe to indicate the missing letters.
‘Dont’ is wrong, and not even a word. A typo I could understand, but this is the name of the game – ‘dont look back’. It’s illiterate.
I know people don’t think it matters but it really, truly does. Grammar is how we make ourselves understood. Getting it wrong should be punishable by flogging.
there is already a game called Don’t Look Back, I have it on my shelf, a RPG published in the 1990s. I wonder if the misspelling is due to it already existing in a similar tabletop genre
Haven’t had a chance to watch the show yet but I can highly recommend Bot Wars. Made by a friend of mine and I’ve had a few games of the Alpha rules which were really fun. I’m not a transformers guy so the aesthetic doesn’t do much for me emotionally but the minis are extremely well sculpted and very clean.
The rules were fun to play so even if you’re not into Transformers it’s a nice game to have in your collection.

I love that Bot Wars stuff, the owner is almost a local(He lives on the Sunshine Coast here). I have some of the old metal stuff, but eventually I’ll switch it out for thew nice new resin.
Megalithic monster robot fish appear to me like the creatures featured in Piranha 3D crossed with the Merman from Cabin In the Woods though I remember a crap scifi flick, before the likes of SyFy and Sharknado, titled The Creature that is pretty close.
Aside from that I really like the blending on the Taliban dishdasha. The black really came out well.

Not truly relevant as WWI but just thought it might be of interest after Lloyd’s motor bike or push bike question.
The Blackbird leaked on the ground as the plates didn’t meet. At speed the friction would warm then up; and they’d expand and seal. It was common that it’d be on fire on takeoff. Amazing plane!
The plane on the carrier is an A-12, the predecessor to the SR-71 Blackbird and it’s just as awesome. If it wasn’t for the space shuttle it would have been the highlight of my look round the Intrepid.
I hope bot wars uses the transforming mechanic. I could see that adding fun options and depth to a game. I move faster as a car, but I can fire my guns as a bot. I could drive really fast at the enemy and transform in to a bot at the last second to punch harder.
Just to say I still like the Cadian sculpts (yes I’m the one buying them from the OTT store). Opinions vary. I fear the Guard getting all hench.
Also check out Anvil Industry for alt guard. I have a few for near-future and their stuff is sw-eeeet!
I think the Star Wars miniature games being moved to a mini focussed dev is quite exciting considering how well received Crisis Protocol has been. A similar style game for Star Wars would be cool, small model count forces who are more highly specialised.
It’s a shame for anyone who loses their job over it, though.

Do they still make Armada stuff? I don’t think i’ve seen it mentioned in over a year.
There’s two new Starter sets out next month for Galactic Republic and Separatists, heralding the start of Clone Wars content (the first new models since August 2019 when the Super Star Destroyer came out). Nothing has been announced after that, and with this change, who knows what the hell is going to happen?

I am on the same page as Gerry with AMG taking on Star Wars Legion. The absolute best thing they can do for the game is to fix the stock levels so that people can reliably buy what they need! It is ridiculous that Super battle droids and phase 2 clones have not been in stock anywhere for 3 months plus. They are core units!
That Printable Scenery fantasy stuff would be ideal for a Witcher miniatures game…

Probably wouldn’t sell in vast amounts but I’m still waiting for an xwing type starter set that comes with an at-at and 2 snowspeeders

Warren, catacombs is one of the best products for parents. My boy 9 years old loves te play warcry. So does his dad. So give it a second thought. You will love to play this game with your kids.
I just hope legion doesn’t get too complicated to build figs. My selling point on the game to people was easy assembly, they already didnt like the hard plastic move.
