Battlefront Miniatures continue their dive into the Battle Of The Bulge with more support for the Germans of Flames Of War. A new selection of 15mm have been added this week alongside some Fighter-bombers, zoning in from on high.

Leading the way we have the Volksgrenadier Assault Platoon. This allows you to make the three platoons with two Sturm Platoons and a third Shutzen Platoon. In addition to the Assault and Rifle options, there are also support weapons here in the form of machine guns, infantry guns, anti-tank guns and mortars.

A pretty decent set of infantry for you to use at the core of your Bulge: German army. With a whole host of weapons at their command, they should be able to take on pretty much any task.

Sticking with the Volksgrenadier, we also have the 7.5cm Gun Platoon.

This set comes with two of these 7.5cm Guns allowing you to lay down some covering fire. It used a large muzzle brake to prevent the weapon from ripping itself apart. They were lighter and therefore highly mobile, allowing them to be moved into position easily. A good way to make people keep their heads down.

Bring In The Fallschirmjager

Away from the Volksgrenadier, you can also call on the skills of the Fallschirmjager Assault Rifle Platoon.

The StG44 that became so popular amongst the German army and acted as a pretty revolutionary assault weapon is here in abundance! The two firing modes meant that it could be used to pick at an enemy position or the soldier could hold down the trigger and simply hose down their foes. Match that with the anti-tank teams in this set and you've got some seriously deadly soldiers.

Fighter-Bombers!

Capping things off, and moving away from infantry, the Germans are also getting themselves the Me-262 Fighter-bomber Flight.

Use these to take out key strategic elements of your opponent's army. This jet fighter made for an impressive ground attack option and was armed with two 30mm cannons and a pair of 500kg bombs. It could fly at 540mph and pretty much outstrip any Allied fighter that was trying to stop it. A fairly obvious bonus to the Germans that could use it for hit-and-run strikes!
