Wyrd Games has introduced another Explorer's Society Master this week for us to get a peek at. Here we have Anya Lycarayen who is going to be joining the world of Malifaux soon.

Anya Lycarayen Art - Malifaux

Anya Lycarayen Art // Malifaux

Any Lycaryen is another of the unique individuals who finds herself part of this prestigious society. She is part of Condor Rail and is a fearsome foe for you to face on the tabletop. She focuses in on getting business done and acts brutally and without mercy.

As you get a good look at her card above you'll note that she very much leans towards the vicious side of things. She is deadly with her tomahawk in hand and uses Blade Rush to get into contact with enemies as quick as she can. I always loved themed wording to the cards for these characters with a lot of the abilities being forced towards her business-like attention to combat.

Get Thunderstruck By Powerful Allies

Much like other characters for The Explorer's Society, Anya is able to call on the aid of some fearsome allies like Sovereign here.

Sovereign Art - Malifaux

Sovereign Art // Malifaux

Most often seen lingering around the headquarters of Condor Rai, Sovereign is a giant construct and totem for Anya. More often than not it simply sits, waiting and watching but will strike whenever Anya desires a point to be made.

When I originally saw the character for Anya I thought that she was going to be on the "good" side of the tracks but it seems like Wyrd have played with my expectations! She seems like a deadly and thoroughly fun character to play and it would be cool to see how her and Sovereign work together on the tabletop.

Make sure you've got some AC/DC lined up for use whenever Sovereign uses that Thunderstruck ability too!
