Each miniature set will contain a variety of numbers, starting with six minis in the Unkindled Heroes Pack 2, four models in The Silver (30mm base) & The Dead (25mm base), Silver Knight Greatbowmen (30mm base), Hollow Crossbowmen 30mm base), and the Unkindled Heroes Pack 1 (Knight and Herald on 25mm base, and Assassin and Warrior on a 30mm base). Holding up a pack on its' own, it would not be a Souls release without some form of a death-hungry dragon or wyvern in this case; the Guardian Dragon standing tall on a 110mm base.

You do not have to use the miniatures just in a souls game either - some of these miniatures are dark enough to be embedded into any grimdark or horrific tabletop title. There's also nothing stopping you from pulling out some Dark Souls Board Game minis to bolster out an army. A few of the minis released for the board game title are discontinued, so although we may see a return of some miniatures - they will be exclusively available to purchase from these sets in the future.

Steamforged Games have highlighted that this cohort of minis will represent "Wave One", meaning there will be more to come down the line. However, if you are keen on getting your hands on the first batch, sales began yesterday the 26th of May.

If you have been on the edge about giving the Dark Souls RPG title a go, Steamforged Games have added a character sheet to their announcement via PDF if you have felt inspired after seeing the scope of minis.

What do you think of these sets of miniatures? Would you use them for another tabletop title?
