Footsore Miniatures Plan A Mighty New Viking Range For 2024

Footsore Miniatures & Games are planning a mighty Viking raid with a whole host of 28mm Matthew Bickley miniatures coming to Kickstarter soon.

The plan is that the Kickstarter will go live in the early portion of 2024. The initial project will focus on seventy new Viking miniatures by Matt Bickley that could be used for games like SAGA, The Barons' War: Conquest and pretty much any other Dark Ages miniatures game.
This is going to be a very comprehensive range that has been eighteen months in the making! The miniatures could also be used to represent Anglo-Danes and Late Saxons if you mixed them in with other models from Bickley.
The initial preview for the range looks astoundingly good and I can sense this ruining the wallet of both Gerry and Lloyd once it lands.

Very much so!
Hmmmm dunno about that. Wouldn’t Gerry Scale 28mm minis look totally ridiculous next to other 28mm scale minis? It would be like putting Warlord minis next to Victrix minis…only much worse.
I really don’t need these but I’m fully prepared to believe that when the kickstarter comes around I really will believe I do.
Sounds good and bold(“probably the best ever made”). I’d like to see a new Viking game that uses their hit-and-run attacks on undefended coastal communities, monasteries, and trading posts and their willingness to use violence as a means of intimidation, as well as the occasional targeting of unarmed civilians. I think I had too much coffee this morning.
