New MKVI Assault Squad Drops Into The Horus Heresy Soon

Games Workshop will be packing out your armies of Traitors and Loyalists with the new MKVI Assault Squad plastic kit for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy soon. The new plastic set will be available to pre-order tomorrow.

When closing the distance with your enemy becomes the priority, you'll want to get some of these fellows to secure objectives and perhaps surprise your foes with an aerial attack. The set features enough components to make ten Assault Marines with chainswords, and either bolt pistols or combat shields.
You'll also find options for your Sergeant including two different heads and other weapon options like the lightning claws above. Some of the design studio team have also been working away on their own Assault Squads and you can see some different paint schemes for various Legions below.

I was surprised that they aren’t doing to usual tippy-toe launching off stance…and I think I prefer it. It’s a shame the regular tactical marines didn’t have leg poses like these rather than the power stance most of them have.
So…£42.50 and the now usual limited range of wargear, that is disappointing though not overly surprising.
