Gripping Beast is looking to release a new set of miniatures for those diving into SAGA: Age Of Magic and more. The Order Militant is getting some new faithful members in 28mm for your Fantasy wargames.

The Order Militant // Gripping Beast

Much like when we last joined The Order Militant, this is a set of the faithful who are set on burning witches and making sure that everyone is very much on board with the teachings of The Church. Matt Bickley has put his hand to this task and you've got a couple of new characters to choose from plus Enforcers and Acolytes.

The Captain // Gripping Beast

The Captain leads the way, clad in heavy armour and with a pistol and falchion at the ready. He also has a hammer too for when you need to make sure that stake goes all the way through the vampire's heart.

The Bishop is going to be supporting The Captain in the endeavours, making sure that he is protected as he goes about his grim work.

I like to think that The Bishop is a little bit evil and in actual fact, he has more secrets than most of the monsters that they are hunting as a group! He looks a dab hand with that flanged mace though so I'd watch your tongue!

When you want someone executed or you just need a bit of support during a bar brawl you can also call on some Enforcers.

As well as two individuals armed with zweihanders, you've also got a couple who are armed with axes too. There are plenty of heavy oak doors which need smashing down in the course of business.

A set of Acolytes can also follow in your wake, armed with rifles, blunderbuss and muskets. A little bit of fire and smoke will make any average soldier feel safer during the dark of night.

The iconography across The Order Militant is very much tied to the idea of them being a band of real-world faithful hunting down the enemies of Christ. But, you could very easily do some tweaking here and there and turn them into Sigmarite Witch Hunters who have their sights set on The City Of The Damned.

The last set of miniatures would perfect when combined with these and I think that the Acolytes, in particular, would also work as regular Mercenaries in a game like Mordheim too.
