Studio Miniatures has built on their collection of Historical miniatures with a few more models to suit the 1st Afghan War and the Sikh Wars. All of these miniatures are in 28mm so they should match up alongside other ranges if you want to mix and match.

Afghan War British Infantry #1 - Studio Miniatures

For the Afghan War side of things, we have a few different sets of British infantry. All of them are wearing these Greatcoats and have the Bell Top Shanko to match but you can get troops advancing, kneeling, firing, marching and more.

This means that if you're going to be using the Studio Miniatures collection as the core of your army then you've already got a bunch of different options when building your regiments. This period of history certainly seems to have been drawing more attention of late from different corners of the wargaming world so it's fun to see more for gamers to pick from.

The Sikh Wars

As well as the British for the 1st Afghan War we also have some Sikh miniatures for those taking on that conflict.

Sikh Wars Cuirasser Command - Studio Miniatures

The new sets break down into two sets of metal horses and then two sets of Cuirassers. You have the Command element which you see above, featuring a Standard Bearer, Officer and Musician plus you can also get the core of your cavalry too.

Sikh Wars Cuirassers - Studio Miniatures

I can't say that I know much about the Sikh Wars as a period of history but it's cool to get a peek into different theatres of war. It might be a good bit of fun to move away from playing the British with their overreaching empire and instead play as the folks who are fighting back.

There are more options to check out from Studio Miniatures for the Afghan War and Sikh Wars so make sure to dive in and see if this period of history speaks to you!

Are you tempted?
