If you've ever wanted to dive into some anime-style mech battles on the tabletop then you might be interested in Mobile Arms: Endless Destiny, a new Backroom project being worked on by Black Site Studios. This is an ace new 28/32mm scale wargame featuring cool-looking miniatures and a sleek set of game mechanics by the mind behind Yafsiga.

Mobile Arms: Endless Destiny is the first of these sets looking to get you started in the game with a couple of new Faction Packs plus all of the rules, cards, dice and more that you'll need for playing your games.

Games of Mobile Arms take place round a Zone Of Operations. You can play games on small tables or much larger ones depending on the style of game you want to play. The core of the mechanics are based on custom d6 where you will be pushing your framtechs as far as you can before having to vent. During that Venting Phase, players will turn in the contracts they have completed and earn credits.

This process of pushing your frametechs and then looking to score means that your scoring opportunities play out asynchronously. That means that you'll go back and forth trying to work out the best time to try and score points. Once a player has managed to score ten credits worth of contracts, you'll have earned the title of victor and the game comes to an end.

When it comes to options for getting started, you can start with the rules (above) or you can dive in and get yourself some of the awesome miniatures from Black Site Studios.

All of the content here are digital so you get the rules and more plus the Hinterland Frameworks Faction Pack and the Sallet Faction Pack. If you prefer to go physical, there are other bundles that you can pick up so you don't have to tinker around with 3D Printers. I really like the look that Black Site Studios has gone for with this game, which seems quite apt considered we've just got Armoured Core coming out in the video game world!

You can also get your hands on separate faction packs if you prefer and then individual mechs should you want to go down a particular route. As someone who quite likes the Titanfall mech design, I am quite taken by the Hinterland Frameworks set.

Additionally, there are also terrain sets for you to pick up which allow you to design bespoke battlefields which suit the Mobile Arms world. There are options for a Mech Workshop and Mining Site Echo which seem well worth picking up if you want to go all in on Mobile Arms.
