Explore The Augusta Industrial Terrain Set By Warcradle [Updated]
January 14, 2022 by brennon
A new set of separate packs of terrain are available to pre-order from the folks at Warcradle Scenics. This set of 28/32mm terrain would be perfect for those playing games of Mythos or Malifaux although it could be used for all manner of games. See what you make of the Augusta Industrial Terrain Set.
Augusta Industrial Terrain Range // Warcradle Scenics
Designed for Mythos, this set showcases an industrial district that sits on the edge of town. Old factories, warehouses and stations that are busy during the day sit abandoned and full of darkness during the night. You might find squatters and criminals amongst the bones of these ruins but there are shadier goings-on too. It seems like the perfect place for a cabal of cultists to put their evil plots into motion.
The set comes with Warehouses, Ruined Buildings, Shelters, Fences, Trollies & Crates, Benches, Train Tracks, Factories, Train Carriages, Crates, Barrels, Bins and a tall Water Tower for you to sit atop and peer out in search of danger.

I like that a lot of the buildings here mirror the kind of industrial districts that we get in real life. There are buildings that are still used and others that have fallen into disrepair and find themselves more useful to vagabonds than engineers.

You could have some real fun with this set, especially if you were playing strange and eerie games like Mythos or perhaps Malifaux. It comes pre-coloured so once you've got it assembled it should be good to go. You could perhaps do some weathering just to give it that little extra "something".

I like the idea of the cultists using the trains to transport occult artefacts to this location. You could set up a scenario where your heroes must search them in order to stop the cultists from enacting their ritual.
If you're interested in checking out more from this particular terrain set then you can head on over to the Wayland Games webstore and browse through their images. There is a lot in this set, enough to make a very intriguing tabletop.
Are you tempted to give this set a shot?

Reminds me very much of Fallout the ruined versions of the building.
Next stop Tombstone folks all passengers for Tombstone next stop.
Great looking terrain.
Looks cool. Style-wise, they could combo with the Chicago Way stuff from 4Ground. However I’m wondering about the scaling. Mythos, AFAIK, is 35mm and if scaled to that doors and windows will be awkwardly big compared to 4Ground.
I think we have a set that Justin is building to review so we should be able to find out for you soon
Hi, I would be interested in knowing the actual dimensions of the boxcar / train (hight x depth x length). You would do me a huge favor by giving me that info. Warcradle isnt really answering me.
I would be curious to see how they measure up side by side. Matching scale is such a headache.
Ooh nice build your own Yuma.
Does anyone know the actul dimensions of the boxcar / train? Warcradle did not answer my ticket.
I hope for bigger scale than 4ground, cause 32mm minis are out of proportion.
