Printable Scenery Will Launch Their Apocalypse Ruins Kickstarter Soon
May 26, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
As 3D printers grow in popularity and become more affordable, we are seeing more and more awesome terrain options coming forward. The folks at Printable Scenery are ramping up to launch their next 3D printable terrain Kickstarter, the Apocalypse Ruins, in the very near future.
Not only does this project look like it contains some fantastic terrain, but they have posted their Kickstarter preview link on Facebook for some feedback.
Why not have a look around and let them know what you think?
Have you tried out 3D printing yet? What did you make & how'd it look?

A couple of dark and sepia tone washes should make this terrain look great after it’s all done and printed. Nice!
the buildings look great.
Ive backed this already, Looks fantastic. I’ve been printing Winterdale stuff from their other Kickstarter and I have to say that its really well thought out stuff.
theirs a guy at our club that regularly brings in these guys fantasy terrain. It looks awesome in the flesh so am really looking forward to seeing what they achieve (and possibly playing on it too :D)
I too backed their other Kickstarters and I backed this one as well. Now I just have to get a 3D printer.
Bought some of the old stuff now, I have a friend with a couple of 3D printers, so he’s going to print some. It looks great, but I think it will depend on the printer! If we’re happy with his prints we’re probably going for the whole package!
There is a ship too, looking forward to that !!!!
I’ve had the pleasure of using this kit in games. It looks good and paints up well… if I had a 3D printer i’d be all over this like a rash 🙂
I was lucky enough to be allowed to take some pictures of terrain produced by 3d Printable Scenery , if anyone wants a look at the work done so far the pictures are here:

How did you get the models I though they were not released yet ?
I live in the same region as the guys behind 3d Printable Scenery
lucky dude!
Looking forward to this. The stuff in the new kickstarter will work really well with our AOS games!
@runicmadhamster do you have any shots of the ship is that not done yet ?
they posted a picture of the render for it in their updates, so i don’t think it is done but is on its way. if you scroll down you can see it. it looks ace.

The models from ‘Winterdale’ and ‘Winterdale 2’ are great so I had no reservation in pledging straight away for this ‘Apocalypse Ruins’ kickstarter.
Also it is worth pointing out in case some have missed it that it appears some of the models will be made available not just as ruins but as ‘whole’ models as well. :o)
At NZ$30,000 the Roman Ruins have just been unlocked, next up are the Abby Ruins at NZ$35,000.
Only a sixth of the way into this kickstarter and already 5 of the 9 stretch goals so far announced have been unlocked. The remaining stretch goals are:
NZ$35,000 – The Abby Ruins
NZ$40,000 – Winterdale in ruins, Walls and Towers
NZ$45,000 – 3rd French WW2 Historic Houses (ruined and non-ruined versions)
NZ$50,000 – Aztec Ruins
Still over 26 days to go. 🙂
well that leaves only 3 stretch goals remaining…
wow, one more to go of the original’s, but they seem to be adding more
4 and a bit hours left and its almost at $100,000! this has been mental!
