The Legions Of Magnus The Red Revealed By Games Workshop

November 19, 2016 by brennon

Following on from the reveal trailer of Magnus The Red declaring his intentions over Fenris we got to see a first look at what's coming for Warhammer 40,000...from Games Workshop themselves!

Rubic Marines

Leading the way we got to take a look at the Rubic Space Marines which are looking superb. The Thousand Sons have always been a rather evocative looking force to use on the tabletop, especially since they don't tend to be overly mutated either which is nice to see amongst Chaos Space Marines.

Following on from them we have some of the more expendable forces of Tzeentch ready to serve their master. Stepping out of Silver Tower we have some Tzaangors!

Being one of the star models of the Silver Tower box it's good to see them branching out into Sci-Fi.

The Thousand Sons also need some stalwart warriors to hold the front line and that is where their Terminators come in...

It's a nice use of the older style designs of the Terminators, giving them a more ancient feel. I particularly like the Sorcerer leader on the left there with the staff held at the ready. I might end up having to side with the forces of Tzeentch when these get released.

Talking of Sorcerers, we're going to get a whole bunch of them it seems!

Sorcerers Some folks might say they are looking too busy but I think each of these just looks spectacular. The one at the front might look a bit goofy but the one on the left for example simply kicks ass!

Looking Ahead

As well as these official looks ahead we have a few sneakier looks from elsewhere on the interwebs. Here we have, of course, the masterful Ahriman, ready to enact his revenge.

...and as we've already seen him, the Demon Prince Magnus The Red lords over all and makes the very foundations of Fenris quake.

Magnus The Red

All of this is centered around the announcement of War Zone Fenris and, as this book cover suggests, Wrath Of Magnus...

Wrath Of Magnus

Some might say that the Thousand Sons are quite right to be angry with their Space Marine brothers and that some revenge is deserved for what the Space Wolves did to their world. Maybe turning to Chaos wasn't the best choice however.

Either way, it's going to be a titanic clash and maybe we'll see a major change in the landscape of the Warhammer 40,000 world.

What do you think?
