Darrell picks out some Snotlings
December 20, 2012 by darrell
They’re small, they’re annoying, but are they any good?
Darrell opens a box of these tiny green gobbos to see what they’re all about.

When does the live show starts
yesterday or in 13 more days 🙂
I remember snotlings as crazy child-like beings who mimic the bigger orks, marching behind ork bosses and generally getting themselves squished in an attempt to wind up orks for fun.
Not as useful as they were a couple of editions ago. Swarm rule not all that in 8th ed really.
Thanks guys for a great O&G week, nice to see fantasy getting some love at last 🙂
You know, I decidedly liked the GW goblins and snotlings better when they had pointy noses and less squared jaws… They looked meaner, more vicious, less stupid…
I also liked the old squig better than the new ones, which are too soft in my view.
Of course, this is a personal opinion based solely on the sculpts…
I have no idea what they’re like in-game.
technicaly you can have a snotling army. i know of one that sam wants to field, a small goblin on squig leading a bunch of them and lots of pump wagans, and i fear them. if you had lots even my brits would struggle. i seen a unit of snotlings kill a doombull i use called cannon. he just could not cause enough wounds and they kept getten like one wound here and there and killed him. i was rippin. snotlings rule, if you like anything green they should be the top of the list
Snotlings!
Every wargamer should have at least 1 snotling. I bought a pack years ago and painted a few of them up. Some yellow with pink loin cloths! One of them is a grot rigger poking out of a damage hole in the side of my looted leman russ.
good stuff snotlings… i would stick them next to Warren’s Black Orcs.. hint hint
ooooh an all snotling army… imagine that, 1pt per snotling in a 4000pt battle 😛 its swarmin’ time
Hey Derrell, I play two units of 10 snotlings in my goblin army. I think they are wicked. 1st off with the skirmishing rule, you can march and shoot…which is good, but even better when you can auto hit. I march them right up to my enemies faces and shoot. Accept their charge and get another shooting attack from the reaction. Now i never expect much out of these guys in combat, maybe kill a few dudes, but nothing more. But what I do expect from them is to die, but hold up my opponent so I can get a… Read more »
Well then you have been cheating and not playing by the rules and stats because they have BS 0 they have no range attacks only explodin’ spores as a charge reaction that’s why they are auto hit.
a bit late to the party but just to clarify I don’t think he’s been cheating 😀
In the rules (8th edition) snotlings have bs 0 but also have the ‘Explodin Spores’ special rule: “Each Snotling base can make a single shooting attack in its Shooting phases, and as a stand and shoot reaction. An Explodin’ Spore is a throwin weapon, hitting automatically with no armour saves allowed.”
Darrell i see this in allot of videos you do.You either tell the wrong rules or wrong stats and i don’t know how you do that and expect to present on the internet as a face for a company.
WS4 BS2 S2 T2 W5 I3 A5 Ld4 you are getting these basic stats from where???
The correct basic stats are M4 WS2 BS0 S2 T2 W5 I3 A5 Lr4
i used to use them as a means of getting my fanatics further towards the enemy
fanatics go through a unit without it counting as part of the dice roll. so they pass through and have the rest of the roll towards the enemy
