It's OTT Weekender time! The new Kroot have arrived in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 - Kill Team: Into The Dark but we also got Warcry: Heart Of Ghur which feels like it lacks a bit of oomph. Does it just not have as much terrain and miniatures?
Kill Team: Into The Dark takes place within a Warhammer 40,000 Space Hulk and sees the Imperial Navy Kill Team going up against the Kroot. Warcry: Heart Of Ghur introduces two new warbands into Age Of Sigmar but is it just worse than the last one Games Workshop produced, Red Harvest?

Really enjoyed looking at the Indie stuff this week and just when I thought I could ween myself off GW, along comes those Imperial Navy boarding crew… arrrgh! Only 163 days to Christmas… ?

The battle tech starter is the same as the original one they just change/replaced one of the mechs. Just the box cover is changed but the rest of the content is the same.

Resisted buying Kill Team when they switched from the 1st edition rules that I have to 2nd edition…
But that Kill Team box is very tempting because for a change I like the look of both factions in the box…
A rare thing with GW as usually it’s something cool with crappy space marines or something cool with stormcast (aka fantasy space marines).

I was on the fringe of falling in to Battletech, and then A Game Of Armoured Combat, The Beginner Box and the Clan Invasion Kickstarter all happened….

Has anyone else noticed that Ben does not just review the miniatures before the weekender he has created a whole back story for them. A current pupose and job they have in the gang or army and the future for them. I look at a mini and go oh that is cool I can use them to play X game. Ben creates a whole life for these mini people !!!

Oh fantasy Acid House Terrain, looks like the Sci-Fi works a lot better.
The bulk of my new Infinity table is made up from the 2nd printing of the Sci-Fi set.
I’ve even been using the card tiles, they can be annoying when the table is made up of a couple of tables which don’t meet properly. I just haven’t found a new neoprene mat yet.
The warcry set would be perfect if it included about 8 more trees, so it had a proper woodland feel.
Great little Indy there. I have to say I’ve seen a lot of criticism for the Angron model, but I think it’s rather fitting myself might even pick one up just for the sake of it.
The Acid House Terrain is definitely something my gaming club would be interested in as terrain storage is always an issue. I think one of our members bought into the sci-fi one but I don’t know if it’s been fulfilled yet.
The new Battletech Starter set troubles me. If their stuff becomes easier to get I may have to start buying it. Godsdamnit!
New warcry box had better warbands by far, but the terrain isn’t as dense (and certainly not as reusable for 40K/Necromunda etc)
@lloyd Check out my video on the futuristic stuff mate. It is very easy to fold back down into the box. Disclaimer that is a different terrain set to this BUT I wouldn’t be surprised to find that they have set a very high priority on making it ‘repackable’.
I’ve never played Zombicide but The Boys expansion looks interesting.

Kroot! Finally. I’ve decided my next project is going to be Warcry so the old box and the new one look like a great place to get started.
You want to sell merch? Your logo should be sold as a keyring bottle opener. It’s the first thing I thought when I first saw it.

CMON might not be the best of companies, but they do make some cool minis, especially the zombicide minis based off of pop culture.
