Delve Into Ace Sci-fi With New Void 2.0 Starter Set & More
December 22, 2025 by brennon
Seb Games are taking pre-orders for a bunch of new releases for those wanting to dive into their Sci-Fi wargaming with the likes of Void and Urban War. We start with a new starter set in the form of Battle for Metropolis.
Void2.0 Battle for Metropolis // Seb Games
Void2.0 is set in the same universe as Urban War but this takes your skirmishes and turns them into bigger battles between heavily armed troops and some elite backup! The Battle for Metropolis boxed set comes with battle forces for you to command, usually made up of several squads that vary in size from five to ten troopers. The basics of the rules are easy to grasp but there is more detail in there for veterans once you get your head around how all the miniatures work.
Viridian Marines // Void2.0
This set comes with everything that two players need to start playing Void2.0. You get a bunch of the Viridian Marines with a squad of standard troops alongside a set of the Viridian Shock Marines.

The Viridian army is commanded by the brutal-looking Major Icharus Trask, who looks like he leads these troops from the front lines, clad as he is in his armour and with two massive blades strapped to his arms!

On the other side of the conflict, you will find the Syntha forces with their Tactical Synths waiting to kick ass and take names. At the core of your force are the Syntha Tactical Androsynts.

They are backed up by their own elite reinforcements, the Syntha Tactical Tetarosynths. Heavier armour and bigger guns. That's usually the solution to plenty of problems on the battlefield.

The Syntha forces are led by Neo Pi, who looks like she's going to catch her death. Suitably epic and giving off vibes of old rock and metal albums I'd say, especially with that windswept hair.

All of those characters are joined by a couple of dice and the free printed copy of BattleMag #4 and the Void2.0 Combat Manual that you'll need for your games. As well as being useful for Void2.0, you will also be able to use these miniatures in games of Urban War. Dual-use miniatures are always helpful!
Void Starter Army
As well as the new boxed set above, you can also get yourself a Homeworld Starter Army for Void!
Homeworld Starter Army // Void
This set allows you to gather together a force for use in Void. Here, you get some neat miniatures to represent both the Junkers and the Viridians on the tabletop. Here's a breakdown of what's in the set when it comes to your miniatures...
- 6x Junker Convict Legionaries
- 1x Junker Convict Legionary Flame Thrower
- 1x Junker Convict Legionary Grenadier
- 6x Viridian Marines
- 2x Viridian Marine Sergeant
- 1x Viridian Marine Chain Gunner
- 1x Viridian Marine Sniper
- 1x Viridian Marine Rocket Launcher
- 1x Viridian Marine Grenade Launcher
- 1x Korvus
The big addition to the set is the awesome combat walker in the form of the Korvus. If you're getting some lovely waves of nostalgia passing over you, that'll be those rather awesome (and classic) looking miniatures there for both forces.
This set also comes with a free copy of the Void2.0 Combat Manual and some rules for using your Homeworld Force. A nice little set for those expanding their Void collection.
Return Of The Major!
Last but not least, a miniature from a previous set is now available for you to pick up individually. Grab Major Lilliane Ironburn for your Urban War games.

If you missed out on Ironburn before, then this is a good chance for you to snap her up individually. You can also download her rules over on the Seb Games website so you can work out how she's going to fit into your games.
Could you be tempted to dive into some games of Void or Urban War on the tabletop?

The Homeworld Starter Army has a cool robot, like a big dog.
The Neo Pi mini is, uh, lacking in any sensible clothing design choices.
Ah, memories.
