Friday already?
“Pyrrhus, a pier; a disappointed bridge…”
James Joyce, Ulysses.
I love the look of ancient mass battle games but the boards always seem so crowded. There is barely room to maneuver and flanking is so important historically.
I imagine it will be a good weekender its not premiered yet. Osprey ork game? Interesting 🤣
Happy weekend everyone
Another well earned weekend… let’s hope I find some painting time
So … how many conquest army did the team (excluding Gerry) build and paint ?
Maybe Lloyd will build Rome once those are painted ? 😉
Yay the weekender time is now folk’s 👍
Loved the boats great show guy’s 👍
Here we go!
I have to agree that Hubris models looks amazing, put some hands on it and it would fit in Kingdom death monster.
The problem with Conquests’ beautiful models like Hubris is that they look amazing, but are probably painful to paint, especially when its a whole mass battle armies worth. I got the OG starter set. The humans were fine, but I noped out of giving the Spyres the level of care they wanted because it would just be too much for a while army.
Thanks for mentioning the new Osprey “Signs and Wonders: A Wargame”. I’ve been waiting for a game in this setting for ages and I’m very much looking forward to getting this in October.
The weekender is here..posted a Happy Sunday…
I know it is not “historicly accurate” but the WW2 Pacific buildinds would be a good and quick terrain for some vietnam war buildings too 😉
