Happy Weekend!!!!
It’s the Weekend!!
Bring it on!
@warzan Here I am watching you on my relatively new 49″ 4k tv – it’s so worth it, pick it up Cyber-Monday!
Apart from that I’ve been surprisingly restrained this BF. Limited myself to: some more KD:M expansions on the re-opened pledge manager… and ordered a mid-range air-brush for my next steps… and an FFG game for my son’s Christmas present… Yup – that’s me being restrained
“Welcome to Flagstation, formally registered as FLGS- 23 (Federal Legacy Gaming Station 23). For the full experience and access to all areas please register for a Backstage Pass;
This station was constructed entirely out of foam by Chief Architect Lloyd, so please do not pluck the walls as a hull breach is a strong possibility.
All models and weapons should be presented for approval and review by Chief Inspector Warren.
For any repair work or remedial paint jobs prior to inspection please join the queue for Lead Engineer John.
Anyone that finds themselves standing on a black floor panel lacking any texture or finish should immediately report apprentice painter Justin to the nearest authority for unfinished work.
Finally keep one eye on the screens for breaking news throughout the cycle between Weekenders from Anchorman Ben.
Enjoy your visit, and remember the first rule… It’s about having fun, if in doubt roll a d2 (available from sponsor’s stalls throughout the station.”
I just picked up a 6″ scale Black Series First Order TOE Fighter, the 25″ tall one, for $50. Now I just need to add an extension to the house so I have a place to sit it.
Egad! TIE Fighter! Well, I guess it would be a toe fighter unless I can find a table big enough to put it on.
Hang on, you may be on to something with this ‘Toe-fighter’ concept. Dogfighting ships that attach to your toes (a formation per foot) and then you lie in bed on your back duelling with your partner. Remember…
1. Wash your feet first
2. Agree safe words in advance
3. Tickling feet is considered poor sportsmanship
4. Play just became more fun!
The biggest problem I see with this is the Scum and Villainy optional rules, i.e. my cats. Waving about some shiny ships at the end of the bed and making “pew pew”noises may attract the interest and subsequent ire of the felis domesticus.
For the space station name, I’d go with Sabazios, who was the Thracian sky god. Though I suspect it would be refereed to as Saba Station once the mercs start to settle in.
My space station will be called “Ká.dingir.ra V” and it’s our last, best hope for peace.
From Monty Python’s The Final Ripoff Introduction…
“The place is Sumeria. The year is..” Hang on, hang on, wait, look, we gotta sort this out. This is background, it’s important material, and it’s new, it’s a totally new link, they won’t understand a word of it, you know, if you fade me out now…
@warzan I’m so crap with money, I’ve got a double health insurance… (I’ts being sorted by my girlfriend though :p )
Great Episode guys.
Space Station Name: Imminent Contact
My space station would be Darkstar 1.
That Galactic set looks really good. It could fit very nicely with a lot of sci fi games.
Nice episode, wanna play necromunda again
My space station name : Irsum 6
Space Station: Elegant Interlude
Happy Weekend everyone 🙂 Az
Space station name Dark Sirius.
Core space looks awsome, got loads of different sci-fi terrain to use, but more wont hurt 🙂
My space station would be called Unbroken. Will do an epic battle where it might be badly damaged, changing name to Broken, with the possibility of becoming Unbroken 2 if being rebuilt.
Has something horrible happened to John’s Tool? He hasn’t whipped it out in a while…
Great episode, love more stuff on core space and definitely thinking of using BS terrain for Necromunda.
I’d call my station The Centurion Osprey
Black Friday weekend. Off to find some deals 🙂
Before you watch it, you can tell by the length of the show whether Warren is on it or not. 🙂
Very true – the Youtube Bar becomes your forecast of the show 😉
space station: Eagle Peak Cartel (Station).
I wonder how many sets of those necromunda bulkheads would you need to replace the core game board walls. I wanted to do something like this for some time but forge world was too expensive and locally we could only get the fantasy versions of clips, but these look excellent.
Absolutely this would be awesome from infinity as would the robot guys from the core game to replace aleph Dakini. And the alien add ons would go great with Prodos stalker aliens.
Space station name: Babylon 7 (you wondering what happened to Babylon 6 heh?)
Space station name: Rylos
Oh and happy weekend
“Provided none of us change size” – according to studies, gamers never increase size as they get older. Nothing can possibly go wrong!
Have a goodun Friday, lads. I have a gig to go to but I’ll catch up on the edited version 🙂
Looks like necromunda stole my idea for box interiors ;p http://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/painting/forum/topic/board-game-box-idea/
Happy Weekend everyone.
Interesting seeing the Core Space segment and will be keeping an eye on that one.
I agree the artwork while still very nice to look at would have been better served with full colour images that leapt out of the page at you for Necromunda.
For a space station name I think Pioneers Port.
I never knew deepcut would do custom mats and will be having a look at their site today to have a play. It has really fired my imagination in a different way. I cannot imagine in which direction Warren will go and also hadn’t thought about using them for boardgames, which now has me also thinking of other games such as Star Wars Destiny. An overhead view of something like the Hoth battlefield with top down views of AT-AT and snowspeeders, card placement boxes either end and a dedicated area for rolling in the middle.
@dignity you could design a Guildball blacksmiths mat for yourself.
@thisisazrael how about a mat with a setting for Splendor
@brennon what mat would you look to have made and for which game?
@warzan looking forward to seeing what mat design you come up with.
@noyjatat – Splendor mat already exists my good man, and it is glorious. Definitely adds to the fondle factor 😛
Az
Ah but what setting would you give yours?
Oooooh Touché! Az
Any custom mat surely has to be called Warren’s warrens.
I think it would be kinda cool @noyjatat to have a mat for Burrows & Badgers – yes, on with that once again haha.
Would be a nice 3×3 one which would look like a nice autumn woodland with paths through the leafy ground, then space assigned for you to pack with trees, farmhouses, ruins etc.
I’d like to ask about the Starfinder competition. Was a winner announced? If not, how long does the contest run?
Space station: Saint Anna Station, Comoran’s Cube
I would go with the cores pacesetting being
Asgardian acendancy
Billy The Kid formed *The Regulators*. 😉
Blaster was here… & remembers his *Young Guns* trivia!
Trust Justin to bring up the completely wrong new forgeworld space marines 😛
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2017/11/20/new-heroes-warhammer-40000-coming-soon/
Here’s what you are looking for
Trust ben to put the wrong link in 😉
All of us make mistakes 😉
Newbie haloooo
Hello and welcome to the mad, mad world that is BoW. Around here, @warzan will butcher history ( and have a great time while he does it 😉 ) plus continue his love affair with gaming mats of all colours and creeds, @dignity will repeatedly seem to grow and lose his beard ( depending on how long ago the video content was filmed 😀 ) and will continue to take his clippers to his mini’s most sensitive parts. @brennon will look sexy&furious while reading the news, @johnlyons will ( probably ) be rocking back and forth in a corner because @warzan just gave him yet another massive project to be done ” yesterday “.
@lloyd will be off somewhere talking SAGA, terrain projects and trains, @thisisazrael is probably sobbing as he tries to organise his board games because nothing now fits like it did. @elromanozo is ( maybe ) locked in BoW’s painting dungeon, chained to the desk for all manner of 3 colours up videos.
Oh and Happy Saturday everyone 😀 .
Welcome @carnage – hope you enjoyed the show and will be back for more of our rambling in the future 😉
game of death
GW make nice models but they are still expensive.
The Necromunder minis should have been press fit so you could change round weapon options.
Competition entry = Space Station Phoenix
I’d call my staion ShalStar 6 after the first 5 blow up.
My space station will be called the “Tessier-Ashpool Flatline”. An ode to William Gibson’s Sprawl Trilogy, my so time favourite cyberpunk story.
I’m in on th Kickstarter which is my first foray into Battle Systems – the game has just made it all click to me.
I’ve started a thread in th forums – feel free to join in!
http://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/news-rumors/forum/topic/core-space-funded/
Space Station: ISS Distant Home
I vowed and declared that I wasn’t going to be involved in this Black Friday?? ( that was always Friday the 13th growing up) rubbish as all right thinking Australians know that Boxing Day is the correct day for all this sales malarky, and I bloody well ignore those too. BUT … bloody Steamforged Games …… I weakened and ot the got the Steamcon pack and the Christmas minis . They were very good offers …. The $%%%$$ s
In other news, my Necromunda arrived during the show. :):):):):)
My space station will be called: Mitternacht Orbital
As for a Galactic Space Station name- *Neopolis* [new city]
Blaster was here… & thinks after The Purge have had their way, not to mention many a ships crews have had their battles in it’s once pristine halls, it becomes infamously/derisively known as *Necropolis*
Nice show Guys. I’ll definitively look at the Beast of War Awards next week !
Absolutely loving the look and feel of Core Space.
I’d call my space station The Ginger Claw. (Battle Systems KS backers will understand)
Space Station Carnation Plantation Salvation
Hey Being a bit Infinity fan and I can see this being a great set for that my Space station name would be called Neoterra 3
Spacestation name: Star Fortress Tokugawa VI.
The Empire of the Rising Suns… their grasp reaches for all stars!
OMG i had to fast forward through the black friday sale. Dont temp me LOL
That detective game looks epic. I’d love to give it a try with my friends, but I know by the end of the second challenge I’d be so unrecoverable stuck or lost the game would be over and it’d be a huge waste of my money. Without any indicator of the challenge level or what hint options will be available I wouldn’t be willing to throw my money at it. I have to wonder how smart someone needs to be to play it. This is a shame as it looks like a unique and epic experience.
As for the spacestation name, how about, “DeathBattlestar NCC Babylon 1701 and Three Quarters IN SPAAAAACE!”. Or just “Trevor”?
watched once over on youtube and now again here! loving the Black Friday round up!
For the naming bit: Corvellius 05
First Integrated Nano Geared Exploratory Research Station. It would be able to probe Black holes and other mysterious cracks in the space time continuum
Happy Weekender & Post-Thanksgiving Reprieve in the States…
Black Friday is a tough one this year.. I’m getting ready for a big move and don’t want to stock up on stuff just to move it!!! But i want to have games ready to play when I get to my new home and can jump back into some good gaming with friends!!!
I bit on Warlords buy 2, get one box free to stock up on Isorians…
I’m tempted by more Widgets, Measuring Sticks, and Steppers for Guild Ball by Art of War… and I’m really torn by the limited edition Gutter, Coin, and Yuletide model for Guild Ball!!!!
Oh.. the horrors =p
Station names: Tannhäuser Gate
The GibbsonDickClarke
Runcible nexus
Rama
Chipping Sodbury
Space station name: Miranda Spire
I agree with GWs approach to Necromunda. People love skirmish games as they claim they are “easier to get in to” as the model count is small. Typically 1-2boxes and you’ve got enough guys to play. However, what is often overlooked in these games is while the model cost/time investment is low, the terrain investment is high. People can build a Malifaux, infinity or mordheim warband very quickly, but getting a decent looking table together for these games is a huge investment, and often acts as its own barrier to entry. Table terrain is often more expensive and harder to store than an army.
By doing what GW did, is they gave you an out of the box way to play necromunda, with the option of expanding your terrain into 3 dimensions in the future. This will maximize the number of people buying that initial box and playing the game, and the best way to keep customers is to get them playing as soon as possible.
Now, the other issue for GW needs to be aware of for these games is continuous cash flow. The problem with previous GW specialist games is they created revenue when the game was released when people bought their war bands/fleets, but after release, as “armies” were small, people were buying very little additional products. They became one-off sales creators, which didn’t motivate GW to keep supporting them.
By starting with 2D and allowing expansion to 3D, you will get customers spending more over time as they slowly expand their 3D terrain collection. This keeps the game alive and keeps $ rolling into GW. If money keeps rolling in, they’ll keep supporting the game. If you gave cheap 3D terrain in the box, it would be a replacement/competition for the 3D terrain GW makes and sells.
People love to point out the “money hungry corporation” But it’s a symbiotic relationship. As games we want a healthy supoorted game, but don’t realize that a company can only support a game if putting money into it yields sales. If a game stops making them money, we can expect them to invest in it.
I also agree @foehammer888 – I think it’s a good way for them to build up the game and get people into it.
Space Station Name : Inter Galactic/stellar space corp Terminal docking/landing/mining/selling sub station …… 5. Best name.
So This KS for the Wilson Wolfe Affair is just an escape room in a box. Not to say it isn’t the most impressive escape room I’ve ever seen! I manage an escape room and I can tell you, I’d be thrilled to have something that looked that good.
The thing about it though, in terms of what Az was saying, if it doesn’t flow right for someone, if you can’t tackle a puzzle or feel just lost with it, it’s not the products fault. Same thing happens in escape rooms, people don’t know it’s not for them until they are in there.
That’s just the way it is. We charge more than that game for an hour in one of our rooms, if you look at it like that, 30 plus hours with that game is well worth it, whether you are good at it or not
The Regulators! John Tunstell corporation was where Billy the Kid worked. When Tunstell was killed Billy and his gang formed the regulators to hunt down his killers. You need to watch Young Guns with Emilio Estevez playing Bonny. Such a great movie. 🙂
Staty McStationface
Want to give Necromunda a try!
Space station name: Origins
Kailash, as in the mountain for the space station. or in the same vein Olympus.
black Friday I picked up a couple of bits from KD
also my moonstone KS arrived
Tiangong-13.
I’m assuming China will ultimately win the new space race.
I think what you have to remember with Necromunda is that GW now do a range of 3D scenery in hard plastic, they won’t want to risk sales of that by providing a cheaper option in card. I think what they really want is for people to perhaps buy the Necromunda box and then for that to be a hobby, in exactly the same way that 40k as a hobby, and to buy more scenery kits over time and slowly build up their gaming table and move away from the game tiles.
But for people who are playing at home, if the GW scenery is too expensive (and it isn’t cheap – it’s high quality but it’s not cheap) there are loads of great alternatives out there. Mantic’s Battle Zones (I believe rebranded as Terrain Crate) can be used to build something very similar to the original Necromunda scenery but in hard plastic. A Sector sized kit (roughly 2’x2′ of scenery) will set you back around £100. But there’s also loads of companies doing HDF industrial scenery, so many I couldn’t possibly list them all (Sarissa Precision, TT Combat, Wargame Model Mods, the list goes on). And then last but by no means least, Battle Systems do highly modular card terrain in a whole range of different styles and you will pay around £80 for a full set with a 2’x2′ gaming mat and you won’t need anything more than that.
Necromunda is pretty much going to become my 40k hobby. I don’t have the time to dedicate to full scale 40k, at best I could probably assemble enough models for an army. I definitly couldn’t paint them in a reasonable time and it’s rare that I have enough time to play a game of 40k. However Necromunda has a much lower model count and requires less time and space to play but it still has that wonderful, silly, OTT sci-fi/gothic style. My only real question at the moment is what gang do I want? Because they previewed House Orlock today who look like a real bunch of grease monkey bikers!
https://www.facebook.com/WarhammerTVteam/videos/481571905571126/
Necromunda works really well on Battle Systems terrain.
And there’s so many options to choose from. I personally think the Post Apoc shanty town or the Gothic Space Station sets are probably the best options
Love the look of Aristea!
I’m a bit miffed at the Necromunda Gang war book! The skills are all over the place rather than kept in categories like Agility or Combat and it’s still just Escher and Goliath? Do I have to buy a new book for every sodding gang? ………Space station Paridiso? Or simply just Heaven? Or alternatively Hell or Purgatory? Yeah I like that…..welcome to space station Purgatory! You can check out anytime you want but you can never leave…..wait…. that’s Hotel California. …. damn!
Gang War II will include Orlocks (and maybe more as well) – so yeah, they’re spacing out the release of gangs it seems. Bit like what they’re doing with Blood Bowl and those supplements.
For those interested, Necromunda (and of course other GW games such as Space Hulk, or 40k and its variants such as City Fight, Kill Zone etc, works really well on Battle Systems terrain. Here’s a great example.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/331752923831018/permalink/541317519541223/
Oh, and my Space Station would simply be called Asgardia – which may not be particularly original but it does mean that I can make the person in charge of the space station Director Justin.
Darknon Station.
For the space station name Palatine Station (based on the ghost ship Palatine Light). I would GM a game with some kind of mechanic where there would be sensor and communication blocking. Players couldn’t take actions in response to something in another room and stuff like that.
Galactic Space Station Name: Infinite Horizon
Space station name: Salyut X (named after the first space stations put up there…)
For the space station, I would have to call it Freewill Station which – along with my user name – comes from a novella bundled with a classic Amiga game. Better yet the Core Space setting could mesh rather well with the setting from said game.
Apart from the Squirrels. And maybe the Lemmings.
Space station name : Outpost Bravo Oscar Whisky.
Space station name: Home for Christmas with Justin’s Mum
Space station name: Sitting Duck!
Great show
Space station has to be “Gremlin’s Nest”.
Great show once again guys.
Space station: Terminus or New Babylon
Space Station Name: Mass Cygnus 1
Sentry Station, like an edge o known space waypoint
My space station would be called Forlorn Hope.
such great (and convenient!) terrain
Space Station: Light in the Shadow
Still can’t decide between getting into Necromunda or expanding my infinity collection. So many choices, so little cash!
For the space station name, I’d have to go Feynam Astro Duster, better known as the F.A.D., since they grew out of style in a few years. I like pretending it’s some kind of outer space crop duster. Plus it’s named after Richard Feynam, my partner is obsessed with him.
Space station- Shield of Destiny.
Station name: Ragnarok Prime
There’s no way that GW left the terrain out of the core box for “immediacy”. It was a calculated choice to “encourage” sales of the Gang War book and the ~Shadow War terrain. Which would be fine if it had kept the price of the box down, but £75 is a lot for what you get.
And my Starbase would be called Research Station Einstein
How about a field of skulls/skeletons for a mat?
My spacestations would be called: Bakunin, Corregidor or Tunguska. Because I will be using it for the Infinity role playing game from Modipheus. The kickstarter wave 1 is finaly shipping.
Win
Space Station Name: Gangs of Rome Bootcamp
Happy weekend guys,.
Space Station: The Villa Nightlight, Neurohaven
Faraday Station
My Core Space station would be called Starbase Jeff, which is also the name of a great card game published years ago by Cheapass Games.
Space station name: possibility
With all these sales looks like my Holiday budget is spent.
Space station: Delta-07 never forget, never forgive.
Out in the dark reaches of the galaxy, orbiting the great asteroid Hel942, glitters that famous port of salvation for all manner of starfarers, Auntie Grav’s Traveller’s Full Service and Comfort Station.
I missed out on Necromunda the first time around, but did manage to pick up the terrain pack many moons ago with the multi-story structures and the mine head, but have yet to assemble it. Now, with the Pony Express galloping to my house with the new Necromunda, I will be able to answer the question of whether the two kits will integrate with the 1.5″ slots in the new walls.
“Space station Saiph” orbiting the Saiph star in the Orion constellation. Traditional name from the Arabic saif al jabbar, ‘سیف الجبّار’ literally “sword of the giant”. Boasting advanced docks and a solid security force hence its nickname ‘Safe’.
PS… the first Necromunda box set had the push together 3D terrain and push together gangers , 2 sculpts for each of 2 different gangs with push on swappable weapon arms, 6 pistol and 6 rifle each if I remember right … could have it together and ready for play before your pal finished reading the rules.
My space station: Black Hole Sun.
My copy of Necromunda arrived today and I opened it while watching the show. I have to say I am ecstatic, totally over the moon and overjoyed! I had wanted Necromunda since it came out, I even went so far as to create my own rules based on what I could see on the reference sheets in the tiny photos in White Dwarf.
Admittedly, I was disappointed at first to learn that the iconic terrain that made the game Necromunda would not be in the box, and that I do think that a few slots on the bulkheads could have been made for a few card walkways (the slots that are on the bulkheads are, I think, for matching up with the Sector Mechannicus terrain). That would’ve changed the nature of the Underhive version of the game that they have made, but kept it more ‘Munda like until players branched out with full on plastic terrain at a later date.
However, as there is less to build where the terrain is concerned, I am happy that I can create a small area to play the game on with a couple of tiles, as I do suffer from a lack of space to play games. My take on it is that I want to build the minis and (finally!) find a local club to play it in 3D when I get Gang War, or even down to my local GW store.
Having said that too, I did watch the Warhammer TV Live show (for free, I can’t subscribe to everything, Backstage is enough lol) and when they were showing how they set up a proper 3D game, Mark Bedford commented that if you are low on gaming space, you can just build the terrain vertically; build it higher, lol, which suits the theme of Necromunda anyway.
So I would’ve liked more terrain and actual walkways (the stuff they put in Shadow War: Armageddon…) but I’m more than happy with what I’ve got. It’ll be quicker to build and play, and (I still want the walkways, dammit lol) I am all for that.
They could’ve put a sheet in the box with the legacy gang rules and the gang rosters though. I’ve downloaded them, but, ya know… Coulda, woulda, shoulda! I’m just stoked I finally have Necromunda, it’s awesome! 😀
Space Station name : Ragnarok 12.
The Core Space setting just screams ‘Firefly’, so in honour of the captain of the Serenity, I’d name my space station… “Fillion’s Folly”.
Or maybe ” Miranda “.
Goblin star Space retail and repair!
Space Station Nerva
Space Station Avalon
Space Station Nivanna
Space Station Asimov
I believe all space stations should be called “The sword of Damocles” for obvious reasons.
My Space Station would be called Saga 2…because ‘why not’ and because I can’t get my mind off of Saga 2nd edition. 🙂
You would meet Vikings in space on my space station because guess what?… Not only did they discover America first, but once they got to Arizona Vikings were the first humans to be abducted by aliens.
Great episode
My Space Station name is Spacey McSpace Face … Of course
A good show guys loving the necromunda’s new scenery, the myth monsters are stunning,
space station? BOB.
Core space looks awesome! My space station would be called Nebularious
Welcome to Gremlin Station…yes, we know what the name implies, but after the firefights and everything else, we figured that just inviting the critters in might do less damage than the regular inhabitants…
My Space Station will be named : Deep Core Space 5
(5 is cause it’s their fifth kikstarter )
I second that. Perfect name.
Happy weekend guys!
Woot! I won the P.A.C.K. MINI 🙂 That’s a nice way to end this miserable week, having a kidney stone is not a nice thing ;( but this prize is very good!
Thanks for the Necromunda unboxing, i really like what i see despite being only on a flat surface… Building the terrain with the old one was half the fun (and creating some too). But at least you’ll be able to do it with the expansion book.
I’m curently assembling 2 Galactic set from Battle Systems i got with the KS and they are great so, i’m going to leave it to someone else to win it 😉
See you on XLBS
Space Station Name: This is no Moon.
Custom mats: find Justin’s beards. Here lies beard # 47, 48, 49, etc.
Space Station: Arthur C. Clarke.
in Necromunda: Underhive, why do the Eschers have 25 mm bases and the Goliaths 32 mm bases?
Check out Promethium Forge Bulkhead terrain for old school necromunda looking terrain … some of them look real familiar.
& name that Space Station, pt2;
*Fhloston Paradise*
Blaster was here… & really wants some Mangalores minis now!
The Necromunda board tiles are basically cardboard versions of the Zone Mortalis tiles.
Oh my Necromunda, $125 for 20 figures and no proper rules. LMFAO. GW is going to need at least 2 suckers born every minute to stay profitable at this rate.
I’m on the fence about the new Chapter Approved book. Also looking at the online webstore exclusive Warmaster bundle that includes the book and very useful gaming aids like the command and score point tracker and cards for the new tactics or whatever its called. Not sure if its worth it or not.
I think if you’re heavily invested in the game already it makes a good purchase – especially if Warhammer 40,000 is your main game you play and you just want to add more options into the melting pot @heavygearo2
I only have the General’s Handbooks and supplements to go off but they’ve been great for people wanting to delve more into AoS.
My space station name would be Unsinkable. I would just avoid ocean heavy planets when it came to orbiting something.
@warzan It has been my experience that a hot, wet box can, in fact, kill you if not handled properly. 😉
My space station would be called Doctor Moon. 😉
Or my other idea is to call it “2 Quiet.” That way when anyone saw it come into view, they’d say “It’s 2 Quiet” and then madcap adventures would ensue. 😛
Just imagine if Warren DID know much about Billy the Kid!
Now research Bonnie and Clyde.
I am very tempted by some of those kickstarters :).
Space station name: “Hope 420”.
My space station will be named…Steve!
I’m always partial to using mythological names for space assets so I would name the station Odysseus Station. It conjures up exploring in my mind.
The space station’s name. Since Core Space is a game based on trade and salvage a Shakespearean tribute to the, Merchant of Venice” seems fitting. How about, “Shylock’s End”…
Damm Black friday… Aristeia and then Necromunda… stop please!
My budget never lines up with my Black Friday Sales wishlist. I’ll probably grab a sci-fi and Fantasy Crazy Box from Mantic. One of each.

Space Station : i would call it Land’s End
Space Station: Gleaming Hope
@thisisazrael Oh your vision of how to spend christmas is just perfect! Down to the glass of whisky!
I think I have to back that puzzle kickstarter. If it’s executed well, I see hours of fun, both solo and with others.

I really do like the look of core space, i love their terrain. Id really like to see that big table and battle through a whole planet. Boot camp idea for when it comes out??
Im not sure about necromunda though, I really liked the firat version and these new scupts look awesome but its just not the right time for me getting even more. Maybe later next year I’ll have another look.
Space Station Evangeline
Space station name: Nexus Prime. Have a great weekend.
A space station, eh? How about “Don’t Hurt Me Station”, a station designed specifically to seem weak and defenceless to lure in pirates and raiders who then end up as pies being sold on nearby planets.
Space Station name: Puddintain Station
Space station name: Earth Port One.
I’m not sure if its from something else, but I’d name my space station “The Far Rest”.

Great Show! Looking forward to next weeks weekender.
Space Station Ataraxia
Because why not give a nod to Firefly and Serenity through the use of obscure Greek synonyms?
Station Name – Novo Sao Paulo – Third largest station in the Terran solar system, behind the farming station in orbit around Venus and the factory station around Mars.
The name of the station: Transastreia

Oh dear, Core space is going to ruin me! Ive been looking at their sets for a while and think im finally going to crack seeing as im getting the game anyway!
Statiion Name – Brokestar -1
Name: Home of the Sons of Arpad
How about “sol refuge” as the station name
Space Station Name: The Maldini
Black Willy and Warren in the same show, never thought i`d ever see it happen. It was kept a lot cleaner than i thought it would be, Warren must of been under a strict orders. Maybe next time Warren, maybe next time.
Name for a Space Station……………..Freedom`s Rest
Loving the Mythological Monsters, they would fit in nicely with Mythic battles Pantheon.
Galactic station name: Music of the Spheres
I have been playing Necromunda somewhat regularly since it came out in the mid nineties and it is one of my favourite games. The main question I have for the new version is “why”? Did the rules really need to change? They are pretty simple as they are especially compared to modern day skirmish games.
We definitely needed new miniatures and terrain though.
Catching up on the Weekenders after a busy weekend. I’m very proud of myself not falling for too many black friday offers. Of course the one from 4Ground was impossible to pass.
For space station, I’d call mine “Horse’s 6”. Ask a Finn if you don’t know why.
Station Ratatoskyre is on an orbital trading station.
Or Station Sorrow’s End if planetary
I did love the original necromunda, spent many a night playing it with my pals back in the day. The ability to clip the bulkheads to each other so you could stack to whatever height you wanted gave such huge flexibility in the verticality you could include in a game. You could go from a couple of floors, to fighting on what amounted to a whole tower (especially if you combined a couple of sets).
I think it’s fine to make a different design choice if that is what they wanted to do, but I have to agree with Warren that the reason given (to get to play faster) doesn’t at all gel with the level complexity of the miniatures. The twenty minutes spent assembling even the most fiddly bits of card terrain and clipped together bulkheads will pale into insignificance compared to the time spent assembling the models.
I am glad they kept the option for the on-going play, because building your own gang, upgrading them, having them suffer wounds, that whole light role-play aspect was another huge draw for me.
excellent show
My ship name would be The Juicy Justice Juggernaut
If Colin adds a Justin mini to the game, I am definitely calling my space station Assgardia. ;-).
When I wasn’t using it for the underhive and playing Necromunda
space station, Battle Station Ramesses
Warren, if I remember correctly, the group that Billy the Kid was part of was the Regulators. I would name my station Timbuktu.
Space Station Midgard 2.0. And the speakers play Led Zep on max all day long.
Damn, Black Friday, you ruined me.
I need a means to watch this as I sleep. Have the episodes looped so I get brainwashed over time.
Core Space looks to be shaping up very nicely, and Necromunda is in the mail 🙂 !
My rundown semi-legal station at the ass-end of nowhere would be called just that: Ass-End Station.
Station: Station of the Ancient
Station suggestion – New Babylon
Or something traditional but evocative like Tortuga.
Alternatively, another nod to other sci-fi classics; Serenity.
Basically I’m really looking forwards to core space and am refreshing the kickstarter page constantly.
The Battle Systems Core Space kickstarter sounds awesome, but the extra terrain would be even better. also wondering how well it will work with the new Necromunda – or maybe the game rules will be better and more clean than GW’s hack job on the specialist games. loved the show
Oh and the name of my station… Aksarben 7, it is one in a string of stations monitoring Platt space.
Middle of no where watering hole Station.
New Necromunda is so tempting but I need to be good and get another new game.
My idea for an intergalactic Space Station would have to be ” the Hot Wat Box” thanks for the inspiration Warren.
I’d call the Space Station “The Habitual Retreat”
I’m backing the Core Space KS, mainly as it comes with solo rules, something which I’ve not seen in other skirmish games. Not sure I’ll be able to wait until next November to play though, so might have to pick up some of their terrain to tide me over!
I would call my space station George.
Still trying to find the video of the Blood and Plunder winners.
Core Space looks great, backed it on KS.
Space Station: Smuggler’s Run

To my mini comes a misión for core space where you had to free a member of your crew, emprisoned by a foe, but when you shutdown security system all other cells open up releasing all type of criminals and creatures one dongerous than others so you have to face enemy kidnapers, criminals and creatures and then run out the complex.

You can never have enough battlesystems terrain. I’ve got enough for 10’x6′ table at this point, not that I’ll ever own such a thing. But to relive my old Necromunda days on such a gargantuan…
Another Great Vid. We need more Saga!
Space station is called the The Saga!
That’s one hell of a terrain package mates!
Plastic has come a long way with Necromunda.
Happy weekender everyone……this terrain is amazing, I could play Infinity, 30/40K, and now my favorite RPG Starfinder.

Space Station Dreamcrusher LOL
Space Station: Beacon in the Dark
My space name would be spacestationmcspacestionface, great terrain with so much potential for game play.
How can I find out who won the galactic terrain?
Awesome prize!
Pirate station name: Fort Royal
I’d name the space station Wretched Hive.
Space Station name: ‘Pegasus Way Station’
Like one of those temporary stopping points on a galactic route to another galaxy where ships stop off for re-supply and a bit of crew rest and ‘relaxation’!
No telling what you’d find in the bowels of something like that and you could have all sorts of characters in it!
Station name: Rock of Gloom
Galactic name: Bathory Station
Another great show, caught up a bit late!!
Space station: Reconnoitre Station
I would name the station Dim Carcosa.
Space Station Name: Journey’s End

For the Space Station name just imagine the cool sound of the announcement: „This is The Emerald City. Switch to Instrument Landing System to follow The Yellow Brick Lane to landing bay 38.“
So I would call it „The Emerald City“ …
I would name my Space Station, Gargentia.
Galactic Station: Skaldor Station
Space station name: Anistone Station
