Plaid Hat Games are really embracing their love of little anthropomorphic heroes with a new board game coming later this year, Hickory Dickory!

Hickory Dickory is a game of royal scavenger hunting where your team of mice have been told to find as many treasures as possible by Lord Cuckoo. During gameplay, a player's mice will ride the clock minute hand whilst leaping off to search for treasures that match their hunt cards.

You will have to, in worker placement style, have to leap off the clock and collect item tiles and perform different actions to gain victory points (represented by berries). All of this is done against a turn timer because when midnight hits, the hunt is over and you have to bring back your treasures for Lord Cuckoo.

Rewards are given out for those completing the most rows and columns on their hunt card and the player with the most berries will win the game. With an age rating of ten-plus, this seems like a neat option for a family to dive into. It seems competitive but without being too mean which is always a bonus.

I know it's a little McGuffin but I do like the moving clock hands in the centre of the board. It just looks so pleasing, especially alongside those adorable mice meeples.
